ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [CdCl(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2)S)(4)],the Cd(II) atom has an trans-Cl(2)N(4) octa-hedral coordination geometry defined by four N atoms derived from the four 2-amino-thia-zole ligands and two Cl atoms. The amino groups participate in intra- and inter-molecular N-H?N and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonding that stabilizes both the mol-ecular and crystal structures.

2-Amino-4-ferrocenyl-thia-zole.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C5H5)(C8H7N2S)], was synthesized by the direct reaction of acetyl-ferrocene, thio-urea and resublimed iodine. The structure shows one mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The amino-thia-zole ring makes an angle of 14.53 (13)° with the ferrocenyl ring to which it is attached. In the crystal, pairs of complex mol-ecules inter-act via inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a cyclic dimer which then inter-acts with other dimers through C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the [Fe(4,4'-bit)(3)](2+) (4,4'-bit is 4,4'-bi-1,3-thia-zole) cation of the title compound, [Fe(C(6)H(4)N(2)S(2))(3)][FeBr(4)]Br, the Fe(II) atom (3 symmetry) is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by six N atoms from three 4,4'-bit ligands. In the [FeBr(4)](-) anion, the Fe(III) atom (3 symmetry) is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds and Br⋯π inter-actions [Br⋯centroid distances = 3.562 (3) and 3.765 (2) Å] link the cations and anions, stabilizing the structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Pb(2)(C(4)H(5)NO(4))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2))(2)]·4H(2)O, the dinuclear Pb(II) complex mol-ecule is centrosymmetric. The Pb atom is chelated by a tridentate imino-diacetate anion (IDA) and a diamino-bithia-zole (DABT) ligand, while a carboxyl-ate O atom from an adjacent IDA anion further bridges the Pb atom with a longer Pb-O bond [2.892?(3)?Å]. The lone-pair electrons of the Pb atom occupy an axial site in the ?-penta-gonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron. The IDA anion displays a facial configuration: its chelating five-membered rings assume an envelope configuration. Within the DABT ligand, the two thia-zole rings are twisted relative to each other, making a dihedral angle of 9.51?(17)°. Extensive N-H?O, O-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Cu(4)Fe(CN)(6)(C(6)H(18)N(4))(4)][Fe(CN)(5)(NO)](2)·6H(2)O, comprises a complex [{Cu(tren)CN}(4)Fe(CN)(2)](4+) [tren is tris-(2-amino-eth-yl)amine] cation, which exhibits -1 symmetry with the terminal cyanide ligands oriented trans to each other, and two [Fe(CN)(5)(NO)](2-) nitroprussiate counter-anions. In the crystal, N-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions are observed between H atoms on the primary amine groups of the tren ligand and the terminal cyanide groups of the nitro-prussiate counter-ions. The N atom in the terminal CN ligand of the cation is equally disordered over two positions. The structure also contains disordered lattice water mol-ecules. Their contribution was elimin-ated from the refinement using the procedure described by van der Sluis & Spek (1990 ?).
