[N,N,N',N'-Tetra-kis(benzimidazol-2-yl-meth-yl)cyclo-hexane-1,2-diamine]-nickel(II) dinitrate dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ni(C(38)H(38)N(10))](NO(3))(2)·2H(2)O, the Ni(II) ion is located on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis and is in a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The crystal structure is stablized by inter-molecular N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, and weak C-H?? inter-actions. The O atoms of the unique nitrate ion are disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.63?(1) and 0.37?(1). In addition, the O atom of the unique solvent water mol-ecule is disorded over two sites with equal occupancies.

A nitrate and a half-occupancy water ligand form long coordination bonds to the Pb(II) ions capping the trigonal-prismatic environment. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. C-H?O inter-actions also occur.

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(C(38)H(38)N(10))](ClO(4))(2)·CH(3)OH, the Fe(II) atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment with four benzimidazol N atoms and two amino N atoms from an N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis-(benzimidazol-2-ylmeth-yl)cyclo-hexane-1,2-trans-diamine ligand. The uncoordinated solvent methanol mol-ecule is hydrogen bonded to an O atom of a perchlorate anion. One of the perchlorate anions is disordered over two sets of sites with occupancy factors of 0.539?(14) and 0.461?(14). N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, as well as ?-? stacking inter-actions between the imidazol rings and between the imidazol and benzene rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.714?(2) and 3.705?(2)?Å] give rise to a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(ClO(4))(C(30)H(34)N(6))]ClO(4), consists of a cationic [Mn(ClO(4))(C(30)H(34)N(6))](+) complex and a perchlorate anion. In the complex, the Mn(2+) ion is seven-coordinated in an approximately penta-gonal-bipyramidal environment by six N atoms from the hexa-dentate N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis(2-pyridylmeth-yl)-cyclo-hexane-1,2-diamine (tpdach) ligand and one O atom from a perchlorate anion. The complex displays inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between adjacent pyridine rings (centroid-to-centroid distance 4.133?Å). Moreover, there are weak intra- and inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds. The Cl atom and two O atoms of the perchlorate are disordered, with a site-occupancy factor of 0.59?(2) for the major component.

Project description:The title compound, C16H20N4·H2O, was synthesized from cis-1,2-diamino-cyclo-hexane (a racemic mixture of the (1R,2S) and (1S,2R) enanti-omers). The compound crystallized with two mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit with a single water solvent mol-ecule per Schiff base mol-ecule. Mol-ecules A and B have similar conformations as illustrated by the least-squares-fit with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.242 Å. The mol-ecules within the asymmetric unit are bridged by hydrogen bonds to the two water mol-ecules, resulting in a heterotetramer. The water mol-ecule acts as both a hydrogen-bond donor and acceptor. The pyrrole-imine units are not co-planar, making an angle of 73.9 (3)° and 76.9 (3)° in mol-ecules A and B, respectively.
