Bis{4-[(3-phenyl-allyl-idene)amino]cyclo-hexyl}methane trichloro-methane solvate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(31)H(38)N(2), was prepared from bis-(4-amino-cyclo-hexyl)methane and two equivalents of cinnamaldehyde. The cyclo-hexyl groups each show a chair conformation and the α,β-unsaturated imine side chains are all-trans configured. Two mol-ecules of the title compound as well as two trichloromethane solvent mol-ecules are present in the asymmetric unit. The solvent mol-ecules inter-act with the diimines via weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pr(C(32)H(30)N(2)O(6))(NO(3))]·CHCl(3), the Pr(III) ion is ten-coordinated by eight O atoms and two N atoms from the acyclic crown-type Schiff base ligand and the bidentate nitrate group. The coordination polyhedron around Pr(III) is a distorted bicapped square anti-prism. The chloro-form solvent mol-ecule is not involved either in coordination to the Pr(III) center or in hydrogen bonding to the complex. The Pr-O(phenolate) bonds are significantly shorter than the Pr-O(ether) and Pr-O(nitrate) bonds, which suggests that the Pr-O(phenolate) bond is stronger than these other bonds. In the crystal structure, the acyclic crown-type Schiff base ligand wraps around the Pr(III) centre, forming a pseudo-ring.

Project description:Reaction of oxalic acid and di-phenyl-tin dichloride in the presence of cyclo-hexyl-amine led to the formation of the title salt, (C6H14N)2[Sn(C6H5)2(C2O4)2]. The dianion is made up from an Sn(C6H5)2 moiety cis-coordinated by two chelating oxalate anions, leading to an overall distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry of the Sn(IV) atom. The negative charges are compensated by two surrounding cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cations adopting chair conformations each. In the crystal, anions and cations are linked via a network of N-H?O hydrogen bonds into a layered arrangement parallel to (101).

Project description:The dinuclear title compound, [Ag2(C14H22N4O2)(C18H15P)2(H2O)2](NO3)2, lies across an inversion center and consists of two [Ag(H2O)(PPh3)] units bridged by a bis-(cyclo-hexa-none)oxalydihydrazone ligand. The charge-balance is supplied by two nitrate anions. The symmetry-unique Ag(I) ion is in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry coordinated by a P atom from a tri-phenyl-phosphane ligand, an O atom from a water mol-ecule and a bis-(cyclo-hexa-none)oxalydihydrazone ligand bidentate chelating through the O atom and one of N atoms. In the crystal, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the components, forming chains along the b-axis direction. The almost planar amino-thio-urea unit (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0062?Å) is aligned at a dihedral angle of 45.23?(8)° with respect to the benzene ring. Inter-molecular N-H?N and N-H?S hydrogen bonding stabilizes the crystal structure.

Project description:The conformation of the title compound, C14H19N3S, is partially determined by an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydro-gen-bond inter-action, although the N-H⋯N angle of 108° is quite small. The cyclo-hexyl-idene ring has a chair conformation and its mean plane is inclined to the benzene ring by 46.30 (8)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers, with an R 2 (2)(8) ring motif. The dimers are reinforced by pairs of C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, and are linked by further weak C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [100].
