ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cd(NO(3))(2)(C(22)H(30)N(2)O(4))], the Cd(II) atom is eight-coordinated by two amine N atoms and two O atoms from the 5,6:19,20-dibenzo-1,4,11,14-tetra-oxa-8,17-diaza-cyclo-eicosane ligand and four O atoms from two nitrate groups. The coordination geometry about Cd is antiprismatic. One nitro O atom is disordered equally over two positions.

Project description:The macrobicyclic title compound, C(24)H(28)N(2)O(7), has two tertiary diamide bridgehead atoms and is composed of a 12-membered ring (N(2)O(2) donor set) and two 18-membered rings (N(2)O(4) donor sets). The solid-state structure shows that each of the amide groups is not coplanar with the adjacent benzene ring and NMR studies indicate that this conformational relationship persists in solution.

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(21)H(19)N(2)O(3))], both pyrrol-idine rings of the pyrrolizine substructure show an envelope conformation. In the ferrocenyl moiety, the unsubstituted cyclo-penta-dienyl ring is disordered over two orientations with site occupancies of 0.64?(2) and 0.36?(2). In the pyrrolizine ring, one C atom is disordered over two positions, with site occupancies of 0.71?(1) and 0.29?(1). Intra-molecular C-H?O inter-actions occur. The crystal packing is established through weak inter-molecular C-H?O and N-H?O inter-actions.

In the crystal structure, disordered water mol-ecules (half occupancy) connect the sheets into a three-dimensional network via inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. An N-H⋯N inter-action is also present. The shortest Pt⋯Pt contacts are 7.5969 (4) Å by an inversion relationship and 7.6781 (4) Å by translation along the a axis.

The benzimidazole-5,6-dicarboxyl-ate and acetate ligands connect the Pr(III) ions, forming a layer in the ac plane; the layers are further linked by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking inter-actions between neighboring pyridine rings [the centroid-centroid distance is 3.467 (1) Å], assembling a three-dimensional supra-molecular network. Project description:The title compound, [Co(4)(C(4)H(4)O(5))(4)(C(7)H(6)N(2))(8)]·20H(2)O, consists of tetra-nuclear Co(II) complexes and disordered uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The tetra-meric complex mol-ecule has symmetry. While two benzimidazole mol-ecules and a tridentate malate dianion coordinate a Co(II) ion, the carboxylate O atom from an adjacent malate dianion bridges the Co(II) ions to complete a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The tridentate malate dianion chelates the Co(II) ion, and the chelate six- and five-membered rings show half-chair and envelope configurations, respectively. A face-to-face separation of 3.494 (9) Å between parallel benzimidazole ligands indicates the existence of π-π stacking between adjacent complexes. The crystal structure also involves N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Neutral complex mol-ecules are associated via inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to form two-dimensional layers. C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are also present.

There is an offset inter-complex face-to-face π-π inter-action [centroid-centroid distance = 3.718 (2) Å] involving one of the pyridine rings of the ligand as well as an intra-complex O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-action between the coordinated hydroxyl group of the ligand and the perchlorate counter-ion.

Project description:The title complex, [Cd(2)(NO(3))(4)(C(24)H(16)N(6))(CH(4)O)(2)], displays a centrosymmetric dinuclear structure, in which the 2,3,5,6-tetra-2-pyridinylpyrazine (tppz) ligand links two Cd ions separated by 7.323 (4) Å. Each Cd(II) center is seven-coordinated by three N-atom donors of tppz in one plane, by two O atoms nearly normal to this plane, and by two O atoms 0.393 (3) and 0.488 (3) Å from that plane. The two Cd(II) ions are above and below the plane of the pyrazine ring of the tppz ligand, oriented with respect to the pyridine rings at dihedral angles of 38.01 (3) and 31.90 (3)°. The dihedral angle between the two pyridine rings is 41.11 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.
