(Acetyl-acetonato-?O,O')-aqua-[salicyl-aldehyde nicotinoylhydrazonato(2-)-?O,N,O']manganese(III).

ABSTRACT: The Mn(III) atom in the title complex, [Mn(C(13)H(9)N(3)O(2))(C(5)H(7)O(2))(H(2)O)], is coordinated by three donors from a dianionic ligand, salicylaldehyde nicotylhydrazone, two O atoms from an acetyl-acetonate anion and a water mol-ecule in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. There is an extended two-dimensional supra-molecular motif resulting from O-H?N hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water mol-ecule and a hydrazine N or pyridine N atom, and from C-H?O hydrogen bonds between a CH group and the phenolate O atom.

Project description:In the title complex, [Mn(C(5)H(7)O(2))(2)(NCS)(CH(4)O)], the Mn(III) atom has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination formed by five O atoms and one N atom. The equatorial positions are occupied by four O atoms of two acetyl-acetonate ligands, while the axial positions are occupied by the N atom of the thio-cyanate anion and the O atom of the methanol mol-ecule. In the crystal structure, complex mol-ecules are linked by an inter-molecular O-H⋯S hydrogen bond, forming a chain running along [101].

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ir(C(5)H(7)O(2))(3)(H(2)O)], the Ir(III) atom is six-coordinated and situated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment. The complex contains both Ir-O and Ir-C bonds and was isolated from a reaction mixture of IrCl(3)(H(2)O)(x), pentane-2,5-dione and NaHCO(3). O-H?O hydrogen bonding between the water molecules and the carbonyl O atoms of adjacent molecules leads to a layered motif extending parallel to (010).

It is coordinated by a phen-oxy O atom, a hydrazine N atom and a carbonyl O atom of the 2-(2-nitro-phen-oxy)-N'-(2-oxidobenzyl-idene-?O)acetohydrazidate dianion, by two O atoms of the acetyl-acetonate anion and by the O atom of a coordinated water mol-ecule. In the crystal structure, complex mol-ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimeric units through four inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving both H atoms of the coordinated water mol-ecule.

Project description:In the title compound, [Nb(CH(3)O)(3)(C(5)H(7)O(2))Cl], the Nb(V) atom is coordinated by two O atoms from the chelating acetyl-acetonate ligand, three O atoms from the methano-late groups and one chloride ligand. The octa-hedral environment around niobium is slightly distorted with Nb-O distances in the range 1.8603 (15)-2.1083 (15) Å and an Nb-Cl distance of 2.4693 (9) Å. The O-Nb-O angles vary between 80.74 (6) and 100.82 (7)°, while the trans Cl-Nb-O angle is 167.60 (5)°. There are no hydrogen bonds observed, only an inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action.

Project description:The mononuclear title complex, [Fe(CF3O3S)(C5H7O2)2(C4H8O)] or [Fe(acac)2(OTf)(THF)] (acac = acetyl-acetonate; OTf = tri-fluoro-methane-sulfon-ate; THF = tetrahydrofuran), (I), consists of one six-coordinate Fe(3+) atom in a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment [Fe-O bond-length range = 1.9517 (11)-2.0781 (11) Å]. The triflate ligand was found to be disordered over two sets of sites, with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.622 (16):0.378 (16). Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen-bonding inter-actions generate a two-dimensional supra-molecular structure lying parallel to (100). This is only the second crystal structure reported of a mononuclear bis-(acetyl-acetonato)iron(III) complex.

The coordination polyhedron shows a slightly distorted Archimedean square antiprismatic geometry. The asymmetric unit contains a toluene solvent mol-ecule. The crystal structure involves C-H⋯.F hydrogen bonds.

The O-Zr-O bite angles of the acetonate ligands range from 75.27 (5) to 75.41 (5)°. The Zr atom is located on a twofold rotation axis.

Project description:In the title compound, [Re(C(5)H(4)F(3)O(2))(C(5)H(5)N)(CO)(3)], the Re(I) atom is six-coordinated owing to bonding by three carbonyl ligands arranged in a fac configuration, two O atoms from the bidentate 1,1,1-trifluoro-acetyl-acetonate ligand and an N atom from a pyridine ligand. In the crystal, the mol-ecules pack in layers, diagonally, in a head-to-tail fashion across the ab plane. These layers are stabilsed by inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Yb(C(5)HF(6)O(2))(2)(C(20)H(14)N(4))(H(2)O)]Cl·CH(3)OH·H(2)O, adopts an eight-coordinated geometry around the Yb(III) atom consisting of a 4'-(4-pyrid-yl)-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine (pytpy) ligand, two 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexa-fluoro-acetyl-acetonate (hfac) anions and an aqua ligand. In the solid state, the compound forms supra-molecular chains running along the b-axis via inter-molecular hydrogen bonds between the Yb-OH(2) unit and the N-atom donor of the 4-pyridyl pendant of pytpy, with an O?N distance of 2.686?(4)?Å. A chloride counter-anion and lattice methanol and water solvent mol-ecules occupy a hydro-philic columnar space along the coordination chains. O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds occur. The two water molecules and the four trifluoromethyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites, each with different occupancy ratios.
