In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(17)H(11)BrN(3))], was synthesized by the reaction of 4-bromo-benzaldehyde, acetyl-ferrocene and ammonium acetate in an aqueous medium. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles between the phenyl ring and the pyridine and cyclopentadienyl rings are 51.67 (13) and 12.12 (21)°, respectively.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C19H12ClN3O, contains two mol-ecules with similar conformations. The 14 non-H atoms comprising the 4H-chromeno[8,7-b]pyridine residue are essentially coplanar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.037 and 0.042?Å for the two mol-ecules) and the main difference between them is seen in the twist about the bond linking the main residue to the attached chloro-benzene rings [dihedral angles = 79.01?(12) and 76.22?(11)° for the two mol-ecules]. Zigzag supra-molecular chains along the a-axis direction mediated by amino-pyridine N-H?N hydrogen bonds feature in the crystal packing; these are connected into a three-dimensional architecture by C-H?? inter-actions and Cl?Cl contacts [Cl?Cl = 3.3896?(14)?Å].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the 1:4 title co-crystal of 2-amino-4-(4-chloro-phen-yl)-5,6-dihydro-benzo[h]quinoline-3-carbonitrile and 3-amino-1-(4-chloro-phen-yl)-9,10-dihydro-phenanthrene-2,4-dicarbonitrile, 0.2C(20)H(14)ClN(3)·0.8C(22)H(14)ClN(3), has the atoms of the fused-ring system and those of the amino, cyano and chloro-phenyl substitutents overlapped. The fused-ring system is buckled owing to the ethyl-ene linkage in the central ring. There are two independent overlapped mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In one independent mol-ecule, the two flanking aromatic rings are twisted by 24.4?(1)° and the ring of the chloro-phenyl substituent is twisted by 87.3?(1)° relative to the amino- and cyano-bearing aromatic ring. In the second mol-ecule, the respective dihedral angles are 26.1?(1) and 57.8?(1)°. The two independent mol-ecules are linked by N-H?N hydrogen bonds into dimers.

Project description:In the title moleclue, C(16)H(13)ClN(2)O(2), the cyclo-hexene ring is in a sofa conformation. The pyran ring is essentialy planar [maximum deviation = 0.038 (2) Å] and forms a dihedral angle of 89.68 (10)° with the benzene ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with R(2) (2)(12) ring motifs. These dimers are further linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along [110]. Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are also present.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, C(25)H(18)ClN(5)O, was determined in the course of our studies on the synthesis of 1,4-dihydro-pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole as an inhibitor of the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). The compound was prepared via a base-catalysed synthesis from 1-benzyl-3-(4-pyrid-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one with p-chloro-aldehyde and malononitrile. The crystal data obtained were used to generate a three-dimensional pharmacophore model for in silico database screening. The phenyl ring is disordered over two positions, with site occupancy factors of 0.55 and 0.45. The dihedral angles between the 1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole unit and the chloro-phenyl and pyridine rings are 83.7 (1) and 16.0 (1)°, respectively. The chloro-phenyl and pyridine rings make a dihedral angle of 86.8 (2)°.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(18)H(12)ClN(3)O. The two pyridine rings are almost coplanar [dihedral angles between the rings: 2.87 (15) and 5.36 (16)°] while the chloro-phenyl rings are twisted out of the plane of the adjacent bipyridine ring by 44.1 (1) and 43.8 (1)° in the two mol-ecules. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-H⋯N and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions.
