Bis[(2-pyridylmeth-yl)(triisopropyl-silyl)amido]zinc(II)-toluene-tetra-hydro-furan (4/2/1).

ABSTRACT: The transamination reaction of (2-pyridylmeth-yl)(triiso-propyl-silyl)amine with bis-{bis-(trimethyl-silyl)amido}zinc(II) yields the colorless title solvate, [Zn(C(15)H(27)N(2)Si)(2)]·0.5C(7)H(8)·0.25C(4)H(8)O. The title compound was crystallized from toluene and tetra-hydro-furan. There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In each mol-ecule, the Zn atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by four N atoms. The two mol-ecules differ in the orientation of the isopropyl groups. The mol-ecules show large N-Zn-N angles [143.0 (2) and 145.7 (2)° between the amide groups].

Project description:In the centrosymmetric binuclear complex of the title solvate, [Sm(2)(C(21)H(15)N(2)O(3))(2)(C(4)H(8)O)(2)]·2C(4)H(8)O, the Sm(III) is coordin-ated in a distorted monocapped octa-hedral geometry by four O atoms and two N atoms from two tridentate deprotonated 2-{bis-[(2-oxidobenzyl-idene)amino]-meth-yl}phenolate ligands and an O atom of a tetra-hydro-furan (THF) mol-ecule. The Sm⋯Sm distance in the complex is 3.8057 (4) Å. Parts of the coordinating THF mol-ecule are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.56 (3):0.44 (3) ratio. The complex and solvent mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional structure via C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, [Sm(C(25)H(35)N(2))(C(14)H(24)Si(2))(C(4)H(8)O)]·C(7)H(8), was prepared by treatment of anhydrous samarium trichloride with a 1:1 mixture of in situ-prepared Li(DippForm) [DippFormH = N,N'-bis-(2,6-diisopropyl-phen-yl)methanimidamide] and Li(2)(COT'') [COT'' = 1,4-bis-(trimethyl-sil-yl)cyclo-octa-tetra-enyl] in tetra-hydro-furan (THF). Despite the presence of two very bulky ligands (COT'' and DippForm), the mol-ecule still contains one coordinated THF ligand. The overall coordination geometry around the Sm(III) atom resembles a three-legged piano-stool with the COT'' ligand being η(8)-coordinated and the DippForm(-) anion acting as an N,N'-chelating ligand [Sm-N = 2.5555 (15) and 2.4699 (15) Å]. The asymmetric unit also contains a disordered mol-ecule of toluene, the refined ratio of the two components being 0.80 (4):0.20 (4).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [K(C12H24O6)(C4H8O)2][Co(C14H10)2]·C4H8O, consists of one cationic potassium complex, one anionic cobalt dianthracene complex and one tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecule. The potassium cation is situated at the centre of an 18-crown-6 mol-ecule and between two tetra-hydro-furan mol-ecules, the latter coordin-ating above and below the mean plane formed by the O atoms of the crown ether mol-ecule. The Co atom is coordinated by eight C atoms of two anthracene mol-ecules in an η(4) manner. The third free tetra-hydro-furan mol-ecule shows orientational disorder on two partially occupied positions [occupancy ratio 0.561 (8):0.439 (8)].

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mo(2)(C(7)F(5)O(2))(4)(C(4)H(8)O)(2)], two independent half-mol-ecules are present, which are completed by a crystallographically imposed center of inversion between the individual Mo atoms. In each mol-ecule, four penta-fluoro-benzoate anions bridge the quadruply bonded Mo(2) (4+) unit that is, in addition, axially coordinated by two O atoms of tetra-hydro-furan (THF) mol-ecules. In the two independent mol-ecules, the mean Mo-Mo bond length is 2.110 Å. Since the THF mol-ecules are equally disordered over two sets of sites, there are four different Mo-O distances in both half-mol-ecules with an overall mean of 2.542 Å. A zigzag chain is formed by π-π stacking inter-actions between penta-fluoro-phenyl rings, indicated by a centroid-centroid distance of 3.7054 (11) Å and a centroid-to-plane distance of 3.4169 (3) Å. The extension of the unit gives a three-dimensional network structure with the THF mol-ecules located in the voids.

Project description:In the title compound, [Lu(C7H7)3(C4H8O)2] (1), the Lu ion is coordinated by three benzyl and two tetra-hydro-furan ligands. Two of the benzyl groups are bonded in a classical η1-fashion through the methyl-ene via the ipso-carbon atom of the benzyl ligand in addition to bonding through the methyl-ene C atom, resulting in a modified trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry about the Lu center.

The Ga(III) atom, located on a twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by four trimethyl-silanolate ligands and has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The Li(I) atom is four coordinated by one bridging Br atom located on an inversion centre, two trimethyl-silanolate ligands and one tetra-hydro-furane mol-ecule in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The polymeric chains extend along [001]. The tetra-hydro-furane mol-ecule is disordered over two positions with site-occupancy factors of 0.57 (2) and 0.43 (2).

Two intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present, each of which generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds lead to a mol-ecular chain running along the b axis. The tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations in a 0.561 (11):0.439 (11) ratio.
