Bis(N-triisopropyl-silyl-quinolin-8-aminato)nickel(II).

ABSTRACT: The reddish-brown title complex, [Ni(C(18)H(27)N(2)Si)(2)], was prepared via the salt-metathesis reaction of N-triisopropyl-silyl-8-amido-quinoline lithium with nickelocene (NiCp(2)). The asymmetric unit contains two symmetry-independent mol-ecules with the Ni atoms in distorted tetra-hedral environments.

Project description:The transamination reaction of (2-pyridylmeth-yl)(triiso-propyl-silyl)amine with bis-{bis-(trimethyl-silyl)amido}zinc(II) yields the colorless title solvate, [Zn(C(15)H(27)N(2)Si)(2)]·0.5C(7)H(8)·0.25C(4)H(8)O. The title compound was crystallized from toluene and tetra-hydro-furan. There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In each mol-ecule, the Zn atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by four N atoms. The two mol-ecules differ in the orientation of the isopropyl groups. The mol-ecules show large N-Zn-N angles [143.0 (2) and 145.7 (2)° between the amide groups].

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(8)N(3)O(2))(2)]·4H(2)O, the Cu(II) ion has a distorted octa-hedral coordination formed by four O [Cu-O = 2.051?(3)-2.083?(4)?Å] and two N [Cu-N = 1.985?(4) and 1.996?(4)?Å] atoms from two tridentate bis-(1-oxo-2-pyrid-yl)aminate ligands. In the two ligands, the pyridyl rings form dihedral angles of 21.0?(1) and 15.5?(1)°. The crystal packing exhibits an extensive network of O-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions proved by short distances of 3.650?(1) and 3.732?(2)?Å between the centroids of pyridyl rings of neighbouring mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(2)(C(12)H(8)N(3)O(2))(2)(C(6)H(8)O(4))(H(2)O)(2)]·3H(2)O, both crystallographically independent Cu atoms are in similar distorted square-pyramidal coordination environments. The dinuclear complex mol-ecules are assembled into one-dimensional supra-molecular chains extending in the [100] direction by hydrogen bonds. Inter-chain hydrogen bonds further link these chains into layers perpendicular to [001].

Project description:In the centrosymmetric mol-ecular structure of the title compound [Pt(2)(C(6)H(14)P)(2)H(2)(C(9)H(21)P)(2)], each Pt(II) atom is bound on one side to a phosphane ligand (PiPr(3)) and a hydrido ligand. On the other side, it is bound to two phosphanide ligands (?-PiPr(2)), which engage a bridging position between the two Pt(II) atoms, forming a distorted square-planar structure motif. The Pt?Pt distance is 3.6755?(2)?Å. A comparable mol-ecular structure was observed for bis-(?-di-tert-butyl-phosphanido)bis-[hydrido(triethyl-phosphane)platinum(II)] [Itazaki et al. (2004 ?). Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(15)H(24)NSi)(2)], is a homoleptic metal-?(3)-aza-allyl centrosymmetric complex containing two aza-allyl ligands bound in an ?(3)-manner to an Ni(II) atom located on a center of symmetry. The overall coordination about the Ni(II) atom is square-planar. The C and N atoms of the aza-allyl group are sp(2)-hybridized. The uneven Ni-C and Ni-N distances [2.045?(5)/2.060?(6) and 1.916?(5)?Å] are influenced by a steric hindering effect from the nearby benzene ring.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(6)H(15)NO(3))(2)]SO(4), contains two triethano-lamine (TEA) ligands bound to an Ni(2+) metal centre, which lies on a crystallographic inversion centre, and one sulfate anion located on a twofold rotation axis such that the asymmetric unit contains one-half molecule of the cation and of the anion. The triethano-lamine ligands coordinate via each axial N atom and two of the three O atoms, while the third arm of the ligand has the hydroxyl group pointing away from the metal centre. The sulfate anions are hydrogen bonded to the coordinated hydroxyl groups and also to the free arm, forming a two-dimensional supra-molecular hydrogen-bonded network expanding parallel to (010).

Adjacent mol-ecules are linked through the coordinated water mol-ecules, forming a O-H?O hydrogen-bonded chain running along the a axis.
