Poly[[?(3)-3-(3-pyrid-yl)acrylato-?N:O:O'][?(2)-3-(3-pyrid-yl)acrylato-?O,O':O][?(2)-3-(3-pyrid-yl)acrylato-?O:O')]gadolinium(III)].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Gd(C(8)H(6)NO(2))(3)](n), the Gd(III) ion is in a bicapped trigonal prismatic coordination environment formed by seven O atoms and one N atom, derived from seven different 3-(3-pyrid-yl)acrylate (3-PYA) ligands. Gd(III) ions are bridged by bidentate and tridentate 3-PYA ligands, resulting in a two-dimensional structure.
