In the crystal structure, there are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions and mol-ecules are separated by normal van der Waals distances.

Project description:The title compound, C(18)H(13)Cl(11), is an undecachlorinated commercial flame retardant. The asymmetric unit contains two independent half-mol-ecules. The complete mol-ecules are generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry, causing the terminal H atoms and one of the Cl atoms to be disordered equally over two sites in each mol-ecule. The central eight-membered rings are in chair-type conformations. In the crystal structure, there is a single weak inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bond.

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(26)O(4), was extracted from Leucas Urticifolia, a wild Lamiaceae herb distributed in the Punjab, Baluchistan, Sindh and the Rajputana desert of Pakistan. The plant is utilized for various medicinal applications by the local community. The title compound is based on the pimarane-diterpene skeleton. The mol-ecule exhibits an ep-oxy ring fused to momilactone-A, leading to a penta-cyclic mol-ecular structure. The absolute configuration was assigned by comparison with the crystal structure of momilactone, but needs further verification. The crystal structure is governed by four inter-molecular hydrogen-bond inter-actions of the C-H⋯O type.

Project description:The title compound, [Rh(C(8)H(12))(C(14)H(28)P(2))]BF(4), exhibits a rhodium(I) complex cation with a bidentate bis-phosphine ligand and a bidentate ?(2),?(2)-coordinated cyclo-octa-1,5-diene. Together the ligands create a slightly distorted square-planar cordination environment for the Rh(I) atom. There are three mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit and intra-molecular P-Rh-P bite angles of 82.78?(5), 82.97?(6) and 83.09?(5)° are observed. The dihedral angles between the P-Rh-P and the X-Rh-X planes (X is the centroid of a double bond) are 14.7?(1), 14.8?(1) and 15.3?(1)°. The structure exhibits disorder of one cyclo-octa-diene ligand as well as one BF(4) anion.

Project description:The racemic title compound, C(23)H(28)O(2), crystallizes in the space group C2/c as a layered structure in which a centrosymmetric three hydrogen bond sequence links four molecules. Both hydroxy groups are involved in this arrangement, but they differ in that one participates in two hydrogen bonds while the other takes part in only one. Between layers, the aromatic rings take part in edge-face interactions [shortest C-H⋯C distances 3.04, 3.10 and 3.12 Å and angle between normal to planes 86.7(2)°], forming a centrosymmetric dimer. The lattice is further stabilized by C-H⋯π interactions involving both methyl (shortest C⋯C 3.82 and 3.97 Å) and methylene (shortest C⋯C 3.60 Å) groups.

Project description:In the title compound, C(26)H(24), the central cyclo-octa-tetra-ene ring has a boat conformation, and the mol-ecule is saddle shaped. The seat is defined by the mean plane of the four-atom attachment points (r.m.s. deviation = 0.014 Å) of the two bicyclo-heptane substituents. These substituents comprise the pommel and cantle, with each mean plane defined by four atoms proximate to the seat (r.m.s. deviations = 0.001 and 0.000 Å). Relative to the seat, the pommel and cantle bend up 33.36 (5) and 34.22 (4)°, while the benzo units (flaps, r.m.s. deviations = 0.008 and 0.013 Å) bend down 33.48 (4) and 36.58 (4)°.

Project description:The title compound, C(18)H(24), was the main product of thermolysis of noradamantene dimer (hepta-cyclo-[9.3.1.1(2,6).1(4,8).1(9,13).0(1,9).0(2,8)]octa-deca-ne). The crystal structure was determined to prove that the thermolysis product of noradamantene dimer is favored by stretch release due to ring opening of the four-membered ring. The bond length of the quaternary C atoms of the starting material was calculated as 1.6 Å, enlarged in comparison to other single bonds. After the rearrangement, the stretch release of the above carbons leads to an increase of the distance between them (2.824 Å) with respect to the crystallographic data.
