Tris(1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium) hexa-bromidoeuropate(III).

ABSTRACT: The crystal structure of the title compound, (C(6)H(11)N(2))(3)[EuBr(6)], consists of 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium cations and centrosymmetric octa-hedral hexa-bromido-europate anions. The [EuBr(6)](3-) anions are located at the corners and face-centres of the monoclinic unit cell. Characteristic hydrogen-bonding inter-actions can be observed between the bromide anions and the acidic H atoms of the imidazolium cations.

Project description:In the title compound, K[Ag(C(11)H(12)N(2))(2)](2)(PF(6))(3), the 12-coordinate potassium cation lies on a crystallographic twofold axis and one of the hexa-fluoro-phosphate anions is generated by symmetry. In the complex cation, the Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two C atoms; the two imidazolium rings are orientated at a dihedral angle of 8.14?(14)°. In the 1-benzyl-3-methyl-imidazolium units, the dihedral angles between imidazolium and phenyl rings are 80.47?(15) and 76.53?(14)°. The F atoms of the general-position hexa-fluoro-phosphate anion are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.767?(17):0.233?(17) ratio. In the crystal, the hexa-fluoro-phosphate anions link the cations into three-dimensional networks via inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds and are further consolidated by ?-? stacking [centroid-centroid distances = 3.5518?(15)?Å] inter-actions.

Project description:In the title salt, (C2H10N2)3[Pr2(SO4)6]·6H2O, the Pr(III) cation is surrounded ninefold by five sulfate groups (two monodentate and three chelating) and by one water mol-ecule [range of Pr-O bond lengths 2.383?(3) to 2.582?(3)?Å]. The [Pr(SO4)5(H2O)] groups are arranged in sheets parallel to (010). Two crystal water mol-ecules and two ethyl-enedi-ammonium cations (one with point group symmetry -1) connect the sheets via O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds from weak up to medium strength into a three-dimensional framework structure.

Project description:The title compound, (C(6)H(11)N(2))(4)[Mo(8)O(26)] or (emim)(4)[?-Mo(8)O(26)] (emim is 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium), was obtained from the ionic liquid [emim]BF(4). The asymmetric unit contains two [emim](+) cations and one-half of the [?-Mo(8)O(26)](4-) tetra-anion, which occupies a special position on an inversion centre. The ?-[Mo(8)O(26)](4-) tetra-anion features eight distorted MoO(6) coordination octa-hedra linked together through bridging O atoms.

Project description:The title compound, [Zn(C(2)H(8)N(2))(3)](SiF(6)), was synthesized ionothermally using choline chloride-imidazolidone as solvent and template provider. In the crystal structure, the anions and cations are located on special positions of site symmetry 3.2 and show a typical octa-hedral geometry. The Zn(II) ion is coordinated by six N atoms from three ethyl-enediamine mol-ecules. The crystal structure displays weak hydrogen bonding between [SiF(6)](2-) anions and the ethyl-enediamine NH hydrogen atoms.

Project description:The Schiff base (E)-4-chloro-2-[(pyridin-2-yl-imino)-meth-yl]phenol was reacted with InCl(3)·4H(2)O, generating the title molecular salt, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(3)[InCl(6)]. The octa-hedral hexa-chlorido-indate(III) anion is located on an inversion centre, and one half of the anion and two crystallographically independent cations form the asymmetric unit. One of the cations is located on a twofold rotation axis and its intra-ring C and N atoms simulate this symmetry by exchanging their positions in statistical disorder. In the crystal, weak N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds and two types of ?-? interactions with centroid-centroid separations of 4.047?(3) and 4.202?(3)?Å are observed.
