ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(10)H(22)N(2)O(4) (2+)·2Cl(-) or (H(2)Me(2)eddp)Cl(2) (H(2)Me(2)eddp(2+) is the dimethyl N,N'-di-3-propane-carboxylato-ethane-1,2-diyldiimin-ium cation), the packing is stabilized by an infinite two-dimensional ?Cl?H-N-H?Cl? hydrogen-bonding network. In addition, short C-H?Cl contacts are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(CH(3)CN)(2)(C(14)H(32)O(4)P(2))(2)]Cl(2), the Fe(II) atom lies on a crystallographic inversion center and has a distorted trans-FeN(2)P(4) octa-hedral coordination environment arising from two P,P'-bidentate 1,2-bis-[bis-(3-hydroxy-prop-yl)phosphino]ethane ligands in the equatorial plane and two acetonitrile mol-ecules in the axial positions. One of the pendant -(CH(2))(3)OH groups of the ligand is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.597?(5):0.403?(5) ratio. In the crystal, O-H?Cl and O-H?O hydrogen bonding helps to establish the packing.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(26)N(4) (4+)·2.5ClO(4) (-)·1.5NO(3) (-), is an organic salt in which the cation is a fully protonated tetra-mine. The cation lies on an inversion center and, as a consequence, both benzene rings are parallel. The central chain is found in an all-trans arrangement, a conformation different from that observed in the crystal structure of the non-protonated mol-ecule. The charges are balanced by a mixture of nitrate and perchlorate ions. One site is occupied by an ordered perchlorate ion, while the other contains both nitrate and perchlorate ions, with occupancies of 0.75 and 0.25, respectively. In the crystal, the NH(2) (+) groups of the cation form N-H?O hydrogen bonds with the anions. The NH(3) (+) groups also behave as donor groups, allowing the building of chains along [100], alternating cations and disordered anions being connected via N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

A, 30, 309-311] crystal structure of the title compound, C(2)H(10)N(2) (2+)·2Br(-), the H atoms have been located and the hydrogen-bonding scheme is described. The ethane-1,2-diammonium cation lies over a crystallographic inversion centre and straddles a crystallographic mirror plane with the C and N atoms in special positions. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by N-H⋯Br and N-H⋯(Br,Br) hydrogen bonds, which generate various ring and chain motifs including an R(10) (5)(32) loop.

Project description:The title mononuclear zinc(II) complex, [Zn(C(10)H(15)N(3))(2)](ClO(4))(2), was obtained by the reaction of 2-acetyl-pyridine, N-methyl-ethane-1,2-diamine and zinc perchlorate in methanol. The asymmetric unit of the complex contains two independent [Zn(C(10)H(15)N(3))(2)](2+) cations and four perchlorate anions. The Zn(II) atom in each complex cation is six-coordinated by two pyridine N, two imine N and two amine N atoms from two N-methyl-N'-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl-idene]ethane-1,2-diamine Schiff base ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The pyridine rings in each of the complex cations are approximately perpendicular to each other, making dihedral angles of 88.4?(3) and 87.9?(3)°. The perchlorate anions are linked to the complex cations through N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Each Ni(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, with the equatorial plane formed by four N atoms and the axial positions occupied by two water mol-ecules. The complex mol-ecules are linked into a chain along [001] by N-H?Cl, N-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. The C atoms and H atoms of the solvent mol-ecule are disordered over two sites in a ratio of 0.52?(2):0.48?(2).
