ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(8)H(12)N(+)·C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7) (-), there are N-H?O and C-H?O inter-actions which generate R(2) (1)(5), R(2) (1)(6) and R(1) (2)(6) ring motifs. The supra-molecular aggregation is completed by the presence of edge-to-face and offset face-to-face ?-? inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.673 and 3.697?Å, respectively.

An intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is also found in the anion. In the crystal, the anions self-assemble via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a C(9) supra-molecular chain the b axis. Further inter-molecular N-H⋯O inter-actions also occur.

Project description:There are two independent formula units in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7) (-). The morpholinium cations in both mol-ecules are puckered and adopt a chair conformation. Intermolecular N-H?O and C-H?O inter-actions generate rings of motifs R(2) (1)(5) and R(1) (2)(6). The supra-molecular aggregation is completed by the presence of two co-operative hydrogen-bonded networks of further N-H?O inter-actions, which generate an infinite one-dimensional chain along the base vector [100]. Two C-H?? interactions are also seen.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(14)N(2) (2+)·2C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7) (-), the cation possesses crystallographically imposed twofold rotation symmetry. In the crystal structure, the cation and anions are linked into a trimeric aggregate by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The trimeric units are further connected by π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.507 (2)-3.660 (3) Å], forming layers parallel to the bc plane.

The nitro group para to the ring junction is almost coplanar with its attached ring [dihedral angle = 0.76?(3)°], but the two ortho-nitro groups are substanti-ally twisted from the ring plane, by 47.91?(2) and 42.90?(1)°. In the crystal, the cation and anion are linked by an N-H?O=C hydrogen bond; these dimeric associations are further connected by weak C-H?O bonds to form linear supra-molecular chains extending in the [001] direction.

Project description:In the cation of the title salt, C(11)H(12)ClN(2)O(+)·C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7) (-), the chloro-ethyl side chain is in a syn conformation, nearly orthogonal to the pyrimidine ring, with a dihedral angle of 78.9?(6)° between the plane of the chloro-ethyl chain and the pyrimidine ring. The dihedral angle between the fused rings is 4.3?(3)°. In the picrate anion, the benzene mean plane makes dihedral angles of 26.7?(1), 33.6?(2) and 5.3?(6)° with the two o-NO(2) groups and the p-NO(2) group, respectively. Extensive hydrogen-bond inter-actions occur between the cation-anion pair which help to establish the crystal packing. A three-center O?(H,H)-(N,C) acceptor hydrogen bond is observed between the phenolate O atom of the picrate anion and the amine and methyl groups of the cation. An N-H?(O,O) bifurcated hydrogen bond is observed between the amine group and two O atoms from the phenolate and o-NO(2) groups.
