Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(8)N(2))(C(13)H(15)N(3))](ClO(4))(2), is a mixed ligand complex with the Cu(II) atom coordinated by (6-methyl-2-pyridylmeth-yl)(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine, acting as a tridentate ligand, and 2-(2-amino-meth-yl)pyridine, as a bidentate ligand, leading to an N(5) square-pyramidal geometry. The amine H atoms are involved in hydrogen bonding to the perchlorate O atoms and there are extensive but weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions in the crystal structure. The perchlorate ions are each disordered over two positions, with site occupancies of 0.601 (8):0.399 (8) and 0.659 (11):0.341 (11).

Project description:The Hg atom in the title complex, [HgCl(2)(C(12)H(13)N(3))], adopts a square-pyramidal geometry, being ligated by three N atoms of the tridentate bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine ligand and two Cl atoms, with one of the latter occupying the apical position. Disorder is noted in the amine portion of the ligand and this was modelled over two sites, with the major component having a site-occupancy factor of 0.794?(14).

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(C(12)H(13)N(3))(C(2)H(3)N)], the Cu(II) atom is six-coordinate in a Jahn-Teller distorted octahedral geometry, with coordination by the tridentate chelating ligand, an acetonitrile mol-ecule, and two axial perchlorate anions. The tridentate ligand bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine chelates meridionally and equatorially while an acetonitrile mol-ecule is coordinated at the fourth equatorial site. The two perchlorate anions are disordered with site occupancy factors of 0.72/0.28. The amine H is involved in intra-molecular hydrogen bonding to the perchlorate O atoms and there are extensive but weak inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:Reaction of dichloridotetra-kis(dimethyl sulfoxide)ruthenium(II) and N-[3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-(trimethyl-silyl-oxy)benz-yl]-N,N-bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine (BPPA-TMS) affords the thermodynamic product cis,fac-[RuCl(2)(BPPA-TMS)(DMSO)] and kinetic product trans,mer-[RuCl(2)(BPPA-TMS)(DMSO)]. The title complex, [RuCl(2)(C(30)H(43)N(3)OSi)(C(2)H(6)OS)]·2CH(2)Cl(2), crystallizes as a dichloro-methane disolvate, with two formula units in the asymmetric unit. The complex exhibits a distorted-octa-hedral geometry about the low spin d(6) Ru(II) center. The BPPA-TMS ligand is coordinated in a facial fashion, with the DMSO ligand cis to the aliphatic nitro-gen atom of the BPPA-TMS ligand. One of the two dichloromethane solvate molecules is disordered over two positions in a 0.695:0.305 ratio.

Each Cr(III) atom is chelated by the tetra-dentate tris-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine ligand via four N atoms, and further coordinated by one Cl atom and one bridging O atom, giving a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The 24-membered porphyrin has in-plane distortion with respect to the mean plane of the macrocycle and two intra-ring bifurcated N-H?(N,N) hydrogen bonds occur. The dihedral angles between the phenyl rings in the phenyl-ethynyl group and the 3,5-bis-(tert-but-yl)phenyl group with respect to the mean plane of the porphyrin are 17.2?(2) and 59.2?(3)°. The tert-butyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.661?(13):0.339?(13) ratio.
