Glycinium hydrogen fumarate glycine solvate monohydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(2)H(6)NO(2) (+)·C(4)H(3)O(4) (-)·C(2)H(5)NO(2)·H(2)O, the asymmetric unit contains two glycine residues, one protonated and one in the zwitterionic form, a hydrogen fumarate anion and a water mol-ecule. Through N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, mol-ecules assemble in layers parallel to the (10) plane, one layer of hydrogen fumarate anions alternating with two layers of glycine mol-ecules. In each glycine layer, hydrogen bonds generate an R(4) (4)(19) graph-set motif. Further hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule and the hydrogen fumarate anions result in the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(17)N(3)O(2)·CH(4)O·H(2)O, was synthesized by the condensation reaction of 2-benzyl-oxybenzaldehyde with isoniazid (isonicotinic acid hydrazide). The tricyclic compound displays a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. The central benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 8.83?(7) and 70.39?(8)° with the pyridine ring and the terminal benzene ring, respectively. The dihedral angle between the pyridine ring and the terminal benzene ring is 73.11?(8)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are connected by inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?O, O-H?(N,N) and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network perpendicular to the a axis.

Synthesis and crystal structure of ebastinium hydrogen fumarate.

Project description:The structure of ebastinium hydrogen fumarate {systematic name: 1-[4-(4-tert-butyl-phen-yl)-4-oxobut-yl]-4-(di-phenyl-meth-oxy)piperidin-1-ium (E)-3-carb-oxy-1-hy-droxy-prop-2-en-1-olate}, C32H40NO2 +·C4H3O4 -, a 1:1 salt formed in the reaction between ebastine and fumaric acid is presented. All examined crystals were found to be twinned by pseudo-merohedry. The structure is extensively disordered, with over half (20 out of 35) its non-hydrogen atoms modelled as lying over two sets of sites. In the crystal, cation-anion pairs are linked by a strong N-H⋯O hydrogen bond [N⋯O = 2.697 (11) Å]. These units inter-act via weaker C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π contacts to form layers lying parallel to the bc plane. The hydrogen fumarate anions are linked by a very short O-H⋯O hydrogen bond [O⋯O = 2.5402 (17) Å], augmented by weak C-H⋯O contacts into pairs of R 2 2(6) ring motifs to form chains that extend parallel to the b-axis direction. Comparisons to similar crystal structures are presented.

4-Meth-oxy-benzamidinium hydrogen oxalate monohydrate.

Project description:The title hydrated salt, C8H11N2O(+)·C2HO4(-)·H2O, was synthesized by a reaction of 4-meth-oxy-benzamidine (4-amidino-anisole) and oxalic acid in water solution. In the cation, the amidinium group forms a dihedral angle of 15.60 (6)° with the mean plane of the benzene ring. In the crystal, each amidinium unit is bound to three acetate anions and one water mol-ecule by six distinct N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The ion pairs of the asymmetric unit are joined by two N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into ionic dimers in which the carbonyl O atom of the semi-oxalate anion acts as a bifurcated acceptor, thus generating an R(1)2(6) motif. These subunits are then joined through the remaining N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to adjacent semi-oxalate anions into linear tetra-meric chains running approximately along the b axis. The structure is stabilized by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O inter-molecular hydrogen bonds. The water mol-ecule plays an important role in the cohesion and the stability of the crystal structure being involved in three hydrogen bonds connecting two semi-oxalate anions as donor and a benzamidinium cation as acceptor.
