ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·C(4)H(5)O(6) (-)·H(2)O, the morpholine ring adopts a chair conformation. In the crystal, the tartrate anions are linked via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [101]. These chains are linked via N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, involving the morpholinium cation and the water molecule, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title mol-ecular salt, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·C(4)H(5)O(6) (-), the morpholinium cation adopts a chair conformation. The conformation of the C-C-C-C backbone of the monotartrate anion is close to anti [torsion angle = 173.18 (17)°], which is supported by two intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H-O and O-H-O hydrogen bonds, generating (001) sheets.

Project description:In the title hydrated molecular salt, C(12)H(9)N(2) (+)·C(4)H(5)O(6) (-)·2H(2)O, the cation is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.014?Å); the carbon skeleton of the anion assumes a trans conformation [C-C-C-C torsion angle = -179.86?(14)°]. The carboxyl end of one hydrogen tartrate anion forms a short hydrogen bond to the carboxyl-ate end of another anion [O?O = 2.508?(2)?Å] in a head-to-tail manner, forming a chain; the chains and water mol-ecules inter-act, generating an O-H?O hydrogen-bonded layer. The cation binds to the layer by an N-H?O hydrogen bond.

Project description:The title structure, C(12)H(9)N(2) (+)·C(4)H(5)O(6) (-)·3H(2)O, shows that one of the protons of d-tartaric acid has been transferred to 1,10-phenanthroline. The d-hydrogen tartrate anions are joined together in a head-to-tail fashion via a short hydrogen bond with donor-acceptor distance of 2.4554?(12)?Å, unsymmetrical O-H distances of 1.01?(4)?Å and 1.45?(4)?Å, and a 174?(4)° O-H-O bond angle. The phenanthrolinium rings are ?-stacked with an average separation of 3.58?(11)?Å. The structural report corrects a previous report in the literature [Wang et al. (2006 ?). Acta Cryst. E62, o2508-o2509] of the isostructural l-hydrogen tartrate enanti-omer in which the proton transfer and short hydrogen bond were missed.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title salt hydrate, C9H8NO(+)·HSO4 (-)·H2O, the quinoline N-H atoms are hydrogen bonded to the bis-ulfate anions. The bis-ulfate anions and water mol-ecules are linked together by O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. The cations and anions form separate layers alternating along the c axis, which are linked by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a two-dimensional network parallel to (100). Further O-H?O contacts connect these layers, forming a three-dimensional network, in which two R 4 (4)(12) rings and C 2 (2)(13) infinite chains can be identified.

Each of the hydrogen tartrate anions is hydrogen bonded to itself by translation along [100] in a head-to-tail fashion via a short hydrogen bond with donor-acceptor distances of 2.473?(4) and 2.496?(4)?Å. A large number of inter-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, as well as ?-? stacking [centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.642?(3) to 3.866?(3)?Å], play an important role in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the crystal of the title hydrated salt, C6H7N4 (+)·C4H5O6 (-)·0.5H2O, the bi-imidazole monocation, 1H,1'H-[2,2'-biimidazol]-3-ium, is hydrogen bonded, via N-H?O, O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, to the hydrogen tartrate anion and the water mol-ecule, which is located on a twofold rotation axis, forming sheets parallel to (001). The sheets are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional structure. There are also C=O?? inter-actions present [O?? distances are 3.00?(9) and 3.21?(7)?Å], involving the carbonyl O atoms and the imidazolium ring, which may help to consolidate the structure. In the cation, the dihedral angle between the rings is 11.6?(2)°.

Project description:In the anhydrous salt formed from the reaction of morpholine with cinnamic acid, C4H10NO(+)·C9H7O2 (-), the acid side chain in the trans-cinnamate anion is significantly rotated out of the benzene plane [C-C-C- C torsion angle = 158.54?(17)°]. In the crystal, one of the the aminium H atoms is involved in an asymmetric three-centre cation-anion N-H?(O,O') R 1 (2)(4) hydrogen-bonding inter-action with the two carboxyl-ate O-atom acceptors of the anion. The second aminium-H atom forms an inter-species N-H?Ocarboxyl-ate hydrogen bond. The result of the hydrogen bonding is the formation of a chain structure extending along [100]. Chains are linked by C-H?O inter-actions, forming a supra-molecular layer parallel to (01-1).
