Project description:The title compound, C(22)H(20)N(2)O(4)·2CHCl(3), a new Schiff base compound, lies across a crystallographic inversion centre. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond generates a six-membered ring, producing an S(6) ring motif. Inter-molecular bifurcated C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the two O atoms of the Schiff base ligand and the H atom of the chloro-form solvent of crystallization, generate an R(2) (1)(5) ring motif. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [centroid to centroid distance = 3.6158 (10) Å]. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are stacked down the c axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(22)H(19)ClN(2)O(4), has the appearance of a warped butterfly. One 2-hydr-oxy-3-methoxy-benzyl-idene-amino fragment is planar [with a maximum deviation of 0.056 (3) Å] and forms a dihedral angle of 9.85 (9)° with the central benzene ring. The other fragment is not planar; however, the methoxy-phenol group is planar [with the maximum deviation of 0.033 (2) Å] and makes a dihedral angle of 41.7 (3)° with the central benzene ring. The mol-ecule is stabilized by intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonding. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title Schiff base compound, C(28)H(32)N(2)O(2), has a twisted geometry, the dihedral angles between the central benzene ring and the other two benzene rings being 29.12 (14) and 26.01 (14)°. Four intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and two intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds stabilize the mol-ecular structure. In the crystal packing, mol-ecules are stacked along the a axis and stabilized by π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6724 (17) Å]. The crystal studied was found to be a non-merohedral twin, the refined ratio of twin components being 0.374 (5):0.626 (5).

Project description:The title Schiff base compound, C(21)H(26)N(2)O(4), exhibits two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit with similar conformations. The imino groups are coplanar with the benzene rings; the maximum deviations of the N atoms from the planes comprising the benzene rings and the imino groups are -0.037 (4), 0.013 (4), -0.021 (5), and 0.008 (5) Å. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings in the two mol-ecules are 53.64 (17) and 51.93 (17)°. Strong intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds generate S(6) ring motifs. The N atoms are also in close proximity to the H atoms of the dimethyl-propane groups, with H⋯N distances between 2.54 and 2.75 Å. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions and π-π contacts involving the imine C atom and two C atoms from the adjacent benzene rings.

Project description:In the title complex, [NaCu(C(22)H(18)N(2)O(4))Cl(CH(3)OH)], the Cu atom lies nearly in the plane defined by the N(2)O(2) core of donor atoms, the out-of-plane distance being 0.001 (2) Å. The anion provides a planar cavity of four O atoms which accommodates a sodium cation. The coordination geometry around sodium is completed by the methanol O atom and a chloride ion. The four O atoms define a coordination plane containing the sodium cation [maximum displacement from the mean plane through the five atoms = 0.152 (3) Å for Na]. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into dimers. The crystal packing is further stabilized by weak π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances of 3.442 (4), 3.482 (3), 3.350 (2), 3.531 (4) 3.575 (2) and 3.604 (2) Å].

The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, an inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond involving the chloro-form solvent mol-ecule is observed. The crystal packing is further stabilized by π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.739 (3)-3.776 (3) Å] between the benzene rings of centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules.
