Tris(3-amino-phen-yl)phosphine oxide ethanol solvate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound crystallized as an ethanol solvate, C(18)H(18)N(3)OP·C(2)H(6)O. It is the reduction product of tris-(3-nitro-phen-yl)phosphine oxide. In the crystal, there are inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds between neighbouring tris-(3-amino-phen-yl)phosphine oxide mol-ecules and O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the ethanol solvent mol-ecule.

Project description:In the title compound, [RhCl{P(p-FC(6)H(4))(3)}(3)]·CH(3)OH, the Rh atom adopts a distorted square-planar geometry. Rh, Cl and one P atom lie on a mirror plane, as does the solvent molecule. There are two inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, one between the methanol O atom and an aryl H atom (2.51 Å), and one between the Cl atom and the hydr-oxy H atom of methanol [2.34 (3) Å]. The complex precipitates in trace amounts from a reaction between RhCl(cod)(thp) [cod is 1,5-cyclo-octa-diene and thp is tris-(hydroxy-meth-yl)phos-phine] and P(p-FC(6)H(4))(3) under argon in CD(3)OD. Two C(6)H(4)-F units are disordered over two positions; for one the site occupancy factors are ca. 0.53 and 0.47, for the other the values are ca. 0.64 and 0.36. The methyl H atoms of the solvent molecule are disordered across the mirror plane.

Project description:In the title compound, C(24)H(9)F(18)OP, an intra-molecular C-H⋯O short contact generates a five-membered ring, producing an S(5) ring motif. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings are 57.68 (10), 77.80 (11) and 79.48 (10)°. Each of the six trifluoro-methyl substituents shows rotational disorder over two positions with refined site-occupany ratios of 0.64 (3)/0.36 (3), 0.649 (14)/0.351 (14), 0.52 (2)/0.48 (2), 0.545 (16)/0.455 (16), 0.774 (9)/0.226 (9) and 0.63 (5)/0.37 (5). The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F inter-actions.

Project description:The reaction of [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))Cl(C(18)H(15)P)(2)] with benzo-nitrile leads to crystals of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))Cl(C(18)H(15)P)(C(7)H(5)N)]·C(2)H(5)OH. In the crystal structure, the environment about the ruthenium metal center corresponds to a slightly distorted octa-hedron with an average N-Ru-N bite angle of the Tp ligand of 86.6?(2)°.

Project description:In the title gold complex, [AuCl(C(18)H(12)F(3)P)], the P-Au-Cl unit is nearly linear, with an angle of 178.13 (5)°. The three phosphine-substituted benzene rings make dihedral angles of 77.7 (3), 84.4 (3) and 77.4 (3)° with each other. Two of the three F atoms are disordered over two positions, with refined site occupancies of 0.591 (11):0.409 (11) and 0.730 (12):0.270 (12). In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds.

In one ligand L(-), the trichloro-methyl group is rotationally disordered between two orientations in a 1:1 ratio, while two dimethyl-amino groups in another ligand L(-) are disordered between two conformations, each with the same 1:1 ratio.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(21)H(21)O(3)P)(2)], shows a nearly square-planar geometry for the Pd(II) atom within the Cl(2)Pd[P(PhOMe)(3)](2) ligand set. The Pd(II) atom sits on a centre of inversion and therefore the asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule, i.e. half of one Pd(II) atom, one Cl atom and one tris-(2-methoxy-phen-yl)phosphine ligand.
