Project description:The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(9)H(12)O(2), is approximately planar (mean atomic deviation = 0.0346?Å) and disposed about a crystallographic centre of symmetry. The H atom of the benzene ring is disordered over four orientations, with occupancies of 0.100?(3) and 0.401?(3) at the C atoms in the 2- and 3-positions and the same at their symmetric location. The H atoms of methyl group at the 2-position are disordered over two positions of equal occupancy. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are linked through O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(9)H(16)N(2)Si)(2)], the Co(II) atom is located on an inversion center in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral environment formed by two chloride ions and the pyridine N atoms of two chelating 6-methyl-2-[(trimethyl-silyl)amino]pyridine ligands. The dihedral angle between the planes of the pyridine rings is 80.06?(5)°. Cohesion within the crystal structure is accomplished by N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [CuCl(2)(C(5)H(6)N(2))(4)]·H(2)O, contains two crystallographically independent complex mol-ecules and two water mol-ecules. The Cu(II) ion in each mol-ecule is six-coordinated in an elongated octa-hedral geometry, with the equatorial plane defined by four pyridine N atoms of four amino-pyridine ligands and the axial positions occupied by two Cl atoms. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional framework by C-H?Cl, O-H?Cl, N-H?O, N-H?Cl and N-H?N hydrogen bonds and C/N-H?? inter-actions involving the pyridine rings.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(6)H(10)N(3) (+)·C(7)H(2)I(3)O(2) (-)·C(7)H(3)I(3)O(2), two R(2) (2)(8) motifs are observed. One is generated by the inter-action of the 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidin-1-ium cation with the carboxyl-ate group of the 2,3,5-triiodo-benzoate anion via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The other R(2) (2)(8) motif is formed by the inter-action of two centrosymmentrically related pyrimidine moieties through N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The two motifs combine to form a linear heterotetra-meric unit. Heterotetra-meric units are linked by a carbox-yl-carboxyl-ate O-H⋯O hydrogen bond (involving the O-H group of neutral 2,3,5-triiodo-benzoic acid and an O atom of the anion), forming a supra-molecular chain along the a axis. In addition, components are held by weak I⋯O interactions in the range 3.023 (5) to 3.382 (5) Å and I⋯I inter-actions in the range 3.6327 (7) to 4.0025 (8) Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(6)H(8)N(3) (+)·Cl(-)·H(2)O, crystallizes with three formula units in the asymmetric unit. The cations are non-planar with the -C(NH(2))(2) groups twisted out of the ring planes. Each pyridine carboximidamidate cation is linked to another cation through N-H?N hydrogen bonds, to chloride ions by N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, and to water mol-ecules by N-H?O hydrogen bonds. Water mol-ecules and chloride ions are also linked together via O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, all these inter-molecular inter-actions result in a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the ionic title compound, (C(6)H(7)N(2)O)[Bi(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O or (acpyH)[Bi(pydc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, contains an [Bi(pydc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](-) anion (where pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarb-oxy-lic acid), a protonated 3-(amino-carbon-yl)pyridine as counter-ion, (acpyH)(+), and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule. The anion is an eight-coordinate complex with a square-anti-prismatic geometry around the Bi(III) atom. In the crystal, extensive O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, as well as ion pairing, C=O?? inter-actions [O?centroid distance = 3.583?(5)?Å], ?-? stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.864?(3)?Å], and C-H?? and C-H?O inter-actions, play an important role in the formation and stabilization of the three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The reaction of Ni(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, NaOH and 2-amino-pyrimidine in aqueous solution leads to the formation of the title complex, [Ni(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(4)H(5)N(3))(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O. The Ni(II) ion is coordinated by one N and two O atoms of the tridentate chelating pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate anion, one heterocyclic N atom of the 2-amino-pyrimidine ligand, and two water mol-ecules. The resulting geometry for the [NiN(2)O(4)] coordination environment can be described as distorted octa-hedral. One uncoord-inated water mol-ecule completes the asymmetric unit. Extensive O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the NH(2) group of 2-amino-pyrimidine, carboxyl-ate groups, and coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules contribute to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.
