ABSTRACT: In the title mononuclear complex, [Ag(C(18)H(18)N(2)P)(NO(3))(2)], the metal centre is coordinated in a slightly distorted trigonal-planar geometry by the P atom of the phosphine ligand and the O atoms of the two monodentate nitrate anions. In the crystal structure, complex mol-ecules are connected by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running parallel to the b axis.

Project description:In the title chain compound, [Ag(NO(3))(C(26)H(24)P(2))](n), the bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane (dppe) units link the Ag(+) ions into chains along [001]. A nitrate anion is coordinated to the Ag atom. There is a centre of symmetry at the mid-point of the ethane C-C bond and a twofold rotation axis passes through the Ag, N and terminal O atoms. Each Ag atom is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two O atoms of the nitrate anion and two P atoms of dppe ligands. The two aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 73.77 (3)°.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ag(2)(C(2)ClF(2)O(2))(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(2)], consists of two half-mol-ecules, each Ag(I) ion lying on a center of symmetry. In each complete mol-ecule, two bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methane ligands bridge two Ag(I) ions, which are further coordinated by one chloro-difluoro-acetate ligand, giving T-shaped geometries and short intra-molecular Ag⋯Ag distances of 3.1078 (6) and 2.9950 (6) Å. In one mol-ecule, the unique -CF(2)Cl group is rotationally disordered over two sites with approximate occupancies of 0.53 and 0.47 for the major and minor components, respectively.

In the anion, the chloro substituent is disordered over two rings (occupancy ratio 0.81:0.19); the two chloro-difluoro-methyl groups are also disordered over two sites for their halogen atoms (occupancy ratios 0.72:0.28 and 0.70:0.30).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Pd(2)(NO(3))(4)(C(58)H(52)N(2)P(4))], contains one half-mol-ecule, in which the central benzene ring is located on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The Pd atom has a distorted square-planar coordination consisting of two P and two O atoms. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions link the mol-ecules into chains, and π-π contacts between the phenyl rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.928 (3) Å] may further stabilize the structure.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric complex, [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(C(26)H(24)P(2))(3)]·2CH(3)OH, consists of two five-membered [Cu(dppe)CN] rings [dppe is 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane] bridged by one μ(2)-dppe ligand, and two methanol solvent mol-ecules. The angles around the central metal atom indicate that each Cu(I) atom is located in the center of a distorted tetra-hedron. The coordination sphere of each Cu(I) atom is formed by three P atoms from two dppe ligands, and one C atom from the cyanide ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which are formed by the O-H donor group from methanol and the N-atom acceptor from a cyanide ligand.

Project description:The central AgI atom exhibits a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment, defined by three P atoms of three benzyl-diphenylphosphane ligands and one O atom of a nitrato ligand. The molecular structure of the title complex, [Ag(NO3)(C19H17P)3], exhibits a severely distorted tetrahedral coordination environment around the central AgI atom, comprising one O and three P atoms. Apart from a primary Ag—O coordination of the nitrato ligand of 2.667 (3) Å, a second (weaker) secondary interaction of the nitrato ligand via the other O atom of 3.118 (4) Å is observed. The compound crystallizes with a complete molecule in the asymmetric unit. Weak C—H⋯O interactions consolidate the packing.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [MoF(N(2)H(2))(C(31)H(29)N(2)P(2))(C(26)H(24)P(2))](BF(4))(2), each Mo atom is surrounded by four P atoms of one 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane and one 2-[bis-(diphenyl-phosphinometh-yl)amino]pyridinium ligand. The remaining binding sites of the distorted octa-hedron are occupied by a hydrazidate (NNH(2) (2-)) and a fluoride ligand. Two F atoms of an anion are disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.7 and 0.3.

[Bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methane-κP,P']dichloridopalladium(II).

Project description:The title complex, [PdCl(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))], is a slightly distorted square-planar bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methane cis-complex of PdCl(2). The structure of a polymorph of the title compound has been described earlier, but the arrangement of the mol-ecules observed in the current structure is distinctively different from that previously reported [Steffen & Palenik (1976 ▶). Inorg. Chem.15, 2432-2439]. The earlier report describes a structure with individual well separated mol-ecules crystallizing in space group P2(1)/n. The polymorph described here, which is isostructrural to its Pt analogue [Babai et al. (2006 ▶). Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem.632, 639-644], crystallizes in C2/c with chains of C2-symmetric mol-ecules stretching parallel to the b axis. The Pd atoms and the bis-phosphino-methane units are located on two different positions created by a non-crystallographic mirror operation with an occupancy of 0.6677 (11) for the major (PCH(2)P)Pd moiety. The positions of the Cl atoms of the minor moiety do coincide perfectly with those of the next mol-ecule along the chain parallel to b, and they are thus not included in the disorder. The phenyl rings also do not take part in the disorder and are common to both the major and minor moieties of the (PCH(2)P)PdCl(2) units. Assuming no defects, mol-ecules in each chain will thus have to be oriented the same way and the effect of the disorder of the (PCH(2)P)Pd unit is thus a reversal in direction of the chains parallel to b. The presence of light streaks of intensity between actual Bragg peaks indicates that a somehow ordered arrangement not resolved in the Bragg diffraction data may be present (i.e. an incommensurate superstructure) rather than a random or domain arrangement of the chains.

Project description:The title compound, [Au(2)Br(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))], features linearly coordinated Au(I) atoms within P,Br-donor sets. The central portion of the mol-ecule is practically planar as quanti-fied by the Br-Au⋯Au-Br torsion angle of -169.9 (2)°. The P-Au-Br chromophores are twisted with respect to each other [dihedral angle = 52.3 (6)°]. The benzene rings on each P atom lie on either side of this plane. The Au atoms are positioned at the periphery of the mol-ecule, which facilitates the formation of Au⋯Au inter-actions [3.2575 (11) Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular chains along the b-axis direction. The Au⋯Au inter-actions are responsible for the deviations from the ideal linear geometry for each Au atom.
