Catena-Poly[[(nitrato-κO,O')silver(I)]-μ-1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane-κP:P'].

ABSTRACT: In the title chain compound, [Ag(NO(3))(C(26)H(24)P(2))](n), the bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane (dppe) units link the Ag(+) ions into chains along [001]. A nitrate anion is coordinated to the Ag atom. There is a centre of symmetry at the mid-point of the ethane C-C bond and a twofold rotation axis passes through the Ag, N and terminal O atoms. Each Ag atom is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two O atoms of the nitrate anion and two P atoms of dppe ligands. The two aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 73.77 (3)°.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric complex, [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(C(26)H(24)P(2))(3)]·2CH(3)OH, consists of two five-membered [Cu(dppe)CN] rings [dppe is 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane] bridged by one μ(2)-dppe ligand, and two methanol solvent mol-ecules. The angles around the central metal atom indicate that each Cu(I) atom is located in the center of a distorted tetra-hedron. The coordination sphere of each Cu(I) atom is formed by three P atoms from two dppe ligands, and one C atom from the cyanide ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which are formed by the O-H donor group from methanol and the N-atom acceptor from a cyanide ligand.

The mol-ecule is centrosymmetric, with the center of symmetry located between the methyl-ene C atoms of the bridging dppe ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra-molecular C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds and inter-molecular π-π inter-actions, with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.2055 (1) Å.

Project description:The title binuclear compound, [W(2)Cl(6)(NO)(2)(C(10)H(22)P(2))(3)], contains two W atoms which are bridged by a bis-(diethyl-phosphino)-ethane (depe) ligand. The seven-coord-inated tungsten(II) centres display distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometries with trans nitrosyl and chloride ligands. The title mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The ethane group of the non-bridging depe ligand is positionally disordered, with site-occupancy factors of 0.63 and 0.37. In the crystal structure, the binuclear mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. In addition, weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ag(2)(C(2)ClF(2)O(2))(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(2)], consists of two half-mol-ecules, each Ag(I) ion lying on a center of symmetry. In each complete mol-ecule, two bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methane ligands bridge two Ag(I) ions, which are further coordinated by one chloro-difluoro-acetate ligand, giving T-shaped geometries and short intra-molecular Ag⋯Ag distances of 3.1078 (6) and 2.9950 (6) Å. In one mol-ecule, the unique -CF(2)Cl group is rotationally disordered over two sites with approximate occupancies of 0.53 and 0.47 for the major and minor components, respectively.

Project description:The title compound, [Ag(NCS)(C(25)H(22)P(2))](n), contains two Ag(+) ions, two thio-cyanate ions and two bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methane (dppm) ligands in the asymmetric unit. One of the thiocyanate ions bridges the two Ag(+) ions in a μ(2)-mode from its S atom and the two dppm ligands bridge the silver ions in a μ(1),μ(1) mode. The remaining SCN(-) ion bridges the binuclear units via its N and S atoms, generating a one-dimensional polymer propagating in [01]: the resulting AgP(2)SN and AgP(2)S(2) coordination geometries could be described as distorted tetra-hedral.

The trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions and acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules are located in channels formed by the complex cations that run along the crystallographic c axis. Each counter-anion is also engaged in a C-H⋯O contact with one of the methyl-ene H atoms of a 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane (dppe) ligand; another C-H⋯O contact involving an aromatic H atom is also observed.

Project description:The title compound, [Ag(2)(NO(3))(2)(C(28)H(30)N(2)P(2))](n), crystallizes in polymeric α-helices. Three O atoms from three different nitrate ions in equatorial positions and two Ag atoms at axial positions set up a trigonal bipyramid. These units are linked by the phosphine ligands into endless helical chains that run along the c axis. The crystal used for the data collection was a racemic twin.
