ABSTRACT: The title compound, {[Mn(2)(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)(C(2)H(5)OH)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n), is a three-dimensional polymer. There are two symmetry-independent Mn(II) centres with different coordination environments: one Mn(II) atom is coordinated by four O atoms from four ligands and two N atoms from two ligands, the other Mn(II) atom is coordinated by three O atoms from two ligands, two water O atoms and the O atom of an ethanol mol-ecule. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the ionic title compound, (C(6)H(7)N(2)O)[Bi(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O or (acpyH)[Bi(pydc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, contains an [Bi(pydc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](-) anion (where pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarb-oxy-lic acid), a protonated 3-(amino-carbon-yl)pyridine as counter-ion, (acpyH)(+), and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule. The anion is an eight-coordinate complex with a square-anti-prismatic geometry around the Bi(III) atom. In the crystal, extensive O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, as well as ion pairing, C=O?? inter-actions [O?centroid distance = 3.583?(5)?Å], ?-? stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.864?(3)?Å], and C-H?? and C-H?O inter-actions, play an important role in the formation and stabilization of the three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

The bridging mode of the anions leads to the formation of a layered network parallel to (100). Project description:In the polymeric structure of the title compound {[Li(2)(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(4))(2)Li(H(2)O)(2)Li(H(2)O)]·H(2)O}(n), the coordination of two independent Li(I) ions is distorted trigonal-bipyramidal and that of the other two independent Li(I) ions is distorted tetra-hedral. The former two Li(I) ions are bridged by hetero-ring N atoms of two independent pyridazine-3,6-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, making a dimeric moiety. The carboxyl-ato-O atoms of both bidentate ligands bridge the dimers to adjacent independent aqua-coordinated Li(I) ions, forming mol-ecular ribbons. The latter are bridged by ligand carboxyl-ato and aqua O atoms, forming mol-ecular layers parallel to (100) which are held together by an extended system of O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Pb(C(7)H(3)NO(4))](n), the Pb(II) ion is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry formed by one pyridine N atom and seven carboxyl-ate O atoms from four pyridine-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate (pda) anions. In the pda anion, the dihedral angles between the pyridine ring and carboxyl-ate groups are 19.5?(6) and 73.3?(6)°. The carboxyl-ate groups of the pda anions bridge the Pb ions, forming a two-dimensional coordination polymer parallel to (100). Weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen boning is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, {(C(4)H(12)N(2))[Bi(2)(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(4)(H(2)O)]·H(2)O}(n) or {(pipzH(2))[Bi(2)(pydc)(4)(H(2)O)]·H(2)O}(n), where pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and pipz is piperazine, was obtained by reaction of Bi(NO(3))(3)·5H(2)O with (pipzH(2))(pydc-H)(2)·3H(2)O in a 1:2 molar ratio in aqueous solution. There are two independent Bi(III) atoms in the structure, one of which is eight-coordinate with a distorted bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry, and another which is nine-coordinate with a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The carboxyl-ate groups of the (pydc)(2-) ligands link dinuclear [Bi(2)(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(4)(H(2)O)](2-) units into one-dimensional coordin-ation polymers. The pipzH(2) (2+) cations (site symmetry ) and non-coordinated water mol-ecules lie between these polymers, forming N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to the O atoms of the carboxylate groups.

Each quinoline-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate dianion bridges two adjacent Cu(II) ions, forming a polymeric chain along [010]. The chains are further connected via O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions and quinoline ring ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.725?(4)?Å], generating a three-dimensional structure. Lattice water mol-ecules participate in the crystal structure via O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Each Sr(II) ion is eight-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from the four ligands and two water mol-ecules. The coordination polyhedron is derived from a penta-gonal bipyramid with an O atom at the apex on one side of the equatorial plane and two O atoms sharing the apical site on the other side. The coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules are involved in O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, which consolidate the crystal structure.
