(2-Amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine-?N)(2-amino-4-methyl-pyrimidine-?N)silver(I) perchlorate.

ABSTRACT: Colourless crystals of the title mixed ligand complex, [Ag(C(5)H(7)N(3))(C(6)H(9)N(3))]ClO(4), were obtained from a solution of 2-amino-4-methyl-pyrimidine, 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrim-idine and silver perchlorate in water and methanol. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions of the aromatic rings of the two ligands [inter-planar distance = 3.652?(10)?Å]. The Ag(I) atom shows a linear coordination [N-Ag-N = 174.6?(1)°].

Project description:Colourless crystals of the title compound, [Ag(C(5)H(7)N(3))(C(6)H(9)N(3))]NO(3), separated out of a solution of 2-amino-4-methyl-pyrimidine, 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine and silver nitrate in water and methanol. The central Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two different N atoms in the aromatic rings of the ligands, with an N-Ag-N angle of 173.9?(2)°. The crystal structure is composed of two complexed cations and stabilized by an inter-molecular N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen-bond network and there is ?-? stacking of the aromatic rings [inter-planar distance 3.651?(10)?Å].

Project description:In the title 1:1 adduct, C(6)H(9)N(3)·C(7)H(7)NO(2), the crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonds involving two different R(2) (2)(8) motifs. One of them is formed by the inter-action of 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine (AMPY) with the carboxyl group of anthranilic acid (AA) through N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, whereas the other is formed through the inter-action of two centrosymmetrically related pyrimidines involving N-H?N hydrogen bonds. These two combined motifs form a heterotetra-mer. The heterotetra-mer sheets are stacked into three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the crystal of the title compound, C6H9N3·C6H8O2, the 2-amino-4,6-di-methyl-pyrimidine and sorbic acid mol-ecules are linked through N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, which generate a cyclic bimolecular heterosynthon with an R 2 (2)(8) graph-set motif. Further, two inversion-related pyrimidine mol-ecules are base-paired via a pair of N-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming a cyclic bimolecular homosynthon with a graph-set of R 2 (2)(8). Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(7)IN(2), the non-H atoms of the mol-ecule are located on a crystallographic mirror plane; the H atoms of the methyl groups are therefore disordered over two positions of equal occupancy. In the crystal structure, short inter-molecular I?N contacts [3.390?(3)?Å] are found, linking the mol-ecules into zigzag chains. In addition, there are inter-molecular ?-? stacking inter-actions between the pyrimidine rings of adjacent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.5168?(10)?Å], resulting in a two-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:Uracil, the pyrimidine nucleobase, which combined with adenine forms one of the major motifs present in the biopolymer RNA, is also involved in the self-assembly of RNA. In the title compound, C(9)H(14)N(4)O(2)·2H(2)O, the asymmetric unit contains one dimethyl-amino-uracil group and two water mol-ecules. The plane of the N=C-NMe(2) side chain is inclined at 27.6?(5)° to the plane of the uracil ring. Both water mol-ecules form O-H?O hydrogen bonds with the carbonyl O atoms of the uracil group. Additional water-water hydrogen-bond inter-actions are also observed in the crystal structure. The O-H?O hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network cage consisting of two dimethyl-amino-uracil groups and six water mol-ecules.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(6)H(7)N(2)S)(2)], contains two independent mol-ecules with similar configurations. In each, the Sn(IV) cation is coordinated by two methyl and two 4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine-2-thiol-ate anions in a distorted SnS(2)C(2) tetra-hedral geometry. In the two mol-ecules, the S-Sn-S bond angles are 87.70 (5) and 88.93 (4)°, while the C-Sn-C bond angles are 125.7 (3) and 125.9 (2)°. Weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, C(7)H(14)N(6), the amine groups of the two methyl-hydrazino substituents are orientated in the opposite direction to the methyl substituent at the 2-position of the pyrimidine ring. The mol-ecule is almost planar with only the two amine N atoms lying substanti-ally out of the mean plane of the pyrimidine ring [by 0.1430?(2) and 0.3092?(2)?Å]. The H atoms on these amine groups point inwards towards the aromatic ring, such that the lone pair of electrons points outwards from the mol-ecule. Each mol-ecule is linked to two others through N-H?N hydrogen bonds between the two amino groups, forming a one-dimensional chain in the [010] direction. Offset face-to-face ?-? stacking inter-actions between the pyrimidine rings organize these chains into a two-dimensional array [centroid-centroid distance = 3.789?(2)?Å].

Project description:There are two unique mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(17)H(15)NO(4), which are linked into chains via inter-molecular N-H?O and C-H?O inter-actions; the chains are linked via weak C-H?O inter-actions, forming a parallel sheet structure. The molecule is approximately planar, with dihedral angles of 19.91?(4) and 11.06?(4)° between the naphthyl ring and the amino-methyl-ene group, and between the amino-methyl-ene unit and the planar part of the dioxane ring, respectively. The dioxane ring adopts a half-boat conformation, with the C atom between the dioxane O atoms 0.595?(8)?Å out of the plane through the remaining atoms. The mol-ecule has an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond which stabilizes the planar conformation.
