ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Zn(C(5)H(4)NO(4)S)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the 4-oxo-1,4-dihydro-pyridine-3-sulfonate anion chelates to water-coordinated zinc centres through the carbonyl O atom and through one O atom of the sulfonate group. The Zn(II) atom lies on a center of inversion, and adjacent mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

A network of O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds is formed between the Zn(II) complexes and the uncoordinated water mol-ecules.
