ABSTRACT: The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(9)H(21)O(3)P)(2)], was obtained from a solution of PtCl(2)(COD) (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) and triisopropyl-phosphite in dichloro-methane. The complex features a Pt(II) atom coordinated by two Cl and two P atoms, yielding a slightly distorted cis square-planar geometry.

Project description:In the title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·CHCl(3), each Pt(II) centre adopts a nearly square-planar coordination geometry formed by two P atoms [Pt-P = 2.2481?(17) and 2.2658?(19)?Å] and two Cl anions [Pt-Cl = 2.3244?(19) and 2.3548?(17)?Å]. The Cl atoms of the chloro-form solvent mol-ecule are disordered over two orientations in a 0.778?(11):0.222?(11) ratio. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, exhib-iting voids with a volume of 215?Å(3).

Project description:The title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(8)H(11)O(2)P)(2)], has a comparable structure to those of related palladium dichloride complexes containing trimethyl phosphinite and methyl diphenyl phosphinite. The Pd atom is located on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis: thus, there is just one half-mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The structure is isomorphous with the platinum analogue cis-[PtCl(2){P(OMe)(2)Ph}(2)].

Project description:In the title complex, cis-[PtCl(2)(C(11)H(9)N)(2)], the Pt(II) ion is situated in a slightly distorted square-planar environment coordinated by two N atoms from two 2-phenyl-pyridine ligands and two Cl atoms. The two pyridyl planes are inclined with dihedral angles of 59.1?(2) and 61.84?(19)° with respect to the PtCl(2)N(2) plane. Project description:The title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(3)N)(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(2)H(3)N, was obtained upon stirring an acetonitrile/ethanol solution of [RuCl(2)(PPh(3))(3)]. In the crystal structure, each Ru(II) ion is coordinated by two Cl [Ru-Cl = 2.4308 (7) and 2.4139 (7) Å], two N [Ru-N = 2.016 (2) and 2.003 (2) Å], and two P [Ru-P = 2.3688 (7) and 2.3887 (7) Å] atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Packing inter-actions include typical C-H⋯π contacts involving phenyl groups as well as weak hydrogen bonds between CH(3)CN methyl H atoms and Cl or solvent CH(3)CN N atoms.

One of the nearly planar quinoline ligands [maximum deviations = 0.042?(6) and 0.018?(7)?Å] is almost perpendicular to the PtCl(2)N(2) unit [maximum deviation = 0.024?(3)?Å], making a dihedral angle of 89.6?(1)°, whereas the other is slightly inclined to the central plane with a dihedral angle of 74.1?(1)°.
