ABSTRACT: In the title centrosymmetric dinuclear complex, [Nd(2)(C(27)H(24)Br(3)N(4)O(3))(2)]·6C(3)H(7)NO, the Nd(III) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry by four N atoms and four O atoms from two centrosymmetrically-related 1,3-bis-[2-(5-bromo-2-oxidobenzyl-amino)eth-yl]-2-(5-bromo-2-oxidophen-yl)-1,3-imidazolidine ligands. The Nd?Nd separation is 4.5012?(12)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, [Mn(C(3)H(7)NO)(6)][Fe(2)Cl(6)O], was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of heterometallic complexes with Schiff base ligands using manganese powder and FeCl(3)·6H(2)O as starting materials. In the [Fe(2)OCl(6)](2-) anion, the O atom and the Fe atom occupy positions with site symmetry [Formula: see text] and 3, respectively, resulting in a linear Fe-O-Fe angle and a staggered conformation. The octa-hedrally surrounded cation (site symmetry [Formula: see text]) and the [Fe(2)Cl(6)O](2-) anion are alternately stacked along [001].

Project description:The title compound, 6C5H9N2 (+)·3SiF6 (2-)·CH3OH, (I), was prepared by recrystallization of the crude salt from methanol along with solvent-free 2C5H9N2 (+)·SiF6 (2-) (II). Crystals of these solvatomorphs can be separated manually. The solvate (I) crystallizes in a rare hexa-gonal space group P6/mcc. Its asymmetric unit comprises one half of an imidazolium cation bis-ected by the crystallographic m-plane, one-sixth and one-twelfth of two crystallographically independent SiF6 (2-) dianions (Si atoms are located on the 3.2 and 6/m inversion centres), and one-twelfth of a methanol mol-ecule (C atoms are situated on the 622 inversion centres, other atoms are disordered between general positions). In (I), all F atoms of 3.2-located SiF6 (2-) dianions participate in the formation of symmetry-equivalent contacts to the H atoms of imidazolium fragments, thus forming rod-type ensembles positioned on the -6 axes. These 'pillar' rods are, in turn, F?H inter-linked through SiF6 (2-) dianions disordered around the 6/m centres. The twelvefold disordered methanol mol-ecules are appended to this array by O-H?F hydrogen bonds to the 6/m located SiF6 (2-) dianions. In terms of graph-set notation, the first and second level networks in (I) are N 1 = C 2 (2)(7)[3R 4 (4)(14)]D 2 (2)(4) and N 2 = D 2 (2)(5) (C-H?O hydrogen bonds are not considered). After locating all symmetrically independent atoms in the cation and anions, there remained a strong (> 3 e Å(-3)) residual electron density peak located at the 622 inversion centre. Treatment of this pre-refined model with the SQUEEZE procedure in PLATON [Spek (2009). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155] revealed two voids per unit cell, indicative of the presence of the solvent methanol mol-ecule disordered about the 622 inversion centre.

Project description:The molecule of the title complex, [Ni2(C21H15N3O5)2(H2O)4]·4C3H7NO, is located on an inversion centre. This results in a dimeric Ni(II) complex, with the two Ni(II) atoms bridged by phenolate O atoms. The tridentate ligand is chelated to each Ni(II) atom via one N and two O atoms of the imino-late form of the hydrazide moiety, which has the same conformation as the free ligand. The coordination geometry around each Ni(II) ion is slightly distorted octa-hedral. A supra-molecular three-dimensional architecture is created by dominant inter-molecular O-H?N, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. These are augmented by two C-H?? inter-actions and a ?-? inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.681?(2)?Å.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(2)(C(2)O(4))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(4)][W(6)O(19)], consists of one half of the complex [Co(2)(C(2)O(4))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(4)](2+) cation and one half of the Lindqvist-type [W(6)O(19)](2-) isopolyanion. Both constituents are completed by crystallographic inversion symmetry. In the dimeric cation, the Co(II) atom is surrounded in a distorted octa-hedral coordination by four N atoms from two chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligands and by two O atoms from the chelating oxalate anion. The Lindqvist-type anion exhibits the characteristic W-O bond-length distribution, with the shortest bonds being the W-O(terminal) bonds and the longest being those to the central O atom.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(C(15)H(11)BrN(2)O(4))(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)], is derived from the reaction of N'-(5-bromo-2-hy-droxy-3-meth-oxy-benzyl-idene)-2-hy-droxy-benzohydrazide and copper nitrate in a dimethyl-formamide solution in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The compound can be regarded as a binuclear centrosymmetric complex. In the crystal, the Cu(II) atom is fivefold surrounded and adopts a distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond stabilizes the mol-ecular conformation.

Project description:In the title complex, [CuTb(C(19)H(20)N(2)O(4))(NO(3))(3)]·CH(3)COCH(3), the Cu(II) atom is four-coordinated by two O atoms and two N atoms from the deprotonated Schiff base in a square-planar geometry, while the Tb(III) atom is ten-coordin-ated by four O atoms from the deprotonated Schiff base and six O atoms from three bidentate nitrate anions. The compound is isostructural with the previously reported Gd(III) analogue [Elmali & Elerman (2004 ▶). Z. Naturforsch. Teil B, 59, 535-540], which was described in the space group P1 with two formula units in the asymmetric unit. The crystal stucture is, in fact, centrosymmetric and is described here in the space group P with one formula unit in the asymmetric unit.

Project description:In the title compound (C(17)H(17)N(2))(2)[Fe(2)Cl(6)O], obtained from the solid-state reaction of FeCl(2) and N,N'-dibenzyl-imidazolium chloride, the complex anion has approximate D(3d) symmetry with crystallographically imposed inversion symmetry coincident with the bridging μ-O atom. The stereochemistry about each FeCl(3)O centre is distorted tetra-hedral [Fe-Cl = 2.2176 (5)-2.2427 (5) Å and Fe-O = 1.7545 (2) Å]. The Cl atoms are involved in weak anion-cation C-H⋯Cl inter-actions, giving a network structure.

The dihedral angle between the two benzotriazole rings is 71.65?(10)°. In the crystal, non-classical C-H?N inter-actions link the mol-ecules into helical chains along the b axis. The crystal packing is further stabilized by weak C-H?? inter-actions.
