ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Al(C(8)H(4)F(3)O(2)S)(3)](3)[Fe(C(8)H(4)F(3)O(2)S)(3)], the metal centre is statistically occupied by Al(III) and Fe(III) cations in a 3:1 ratio. The metal centre is within an octa-hedral O(6) donor set defined by three chelating substituted acetoacetonate anions. The ligands are arranged around the periphery of the mol-ecule with a mer geometry of the S atoms.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title complex, K[Eu(C(5)HF(6)O(2))(2)(C(10)H(6)F(3)O(2))(2)], the Eu(III) ion is in a slightly distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry which is defined by eight O atoms of the anionic ?-diketone ligands. The two K(+) ions lie on crystallographic inversion centers. The Eu-O bond distances are in the range 2.294?(5)-2.413?(5)?Å. The crystal used was a non-merohedral twin, the ratio of the twin domains being 0.5236?(5):0.4764?(5).

Weak inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?F hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure. One thienyl ring is disordered over two orientations in an occupancy ratio of 0.69?(1):0.31.

Project description:In the title mononuclear coordination complex, [CuFe(C(5)H(5))(C(9)H(5)F(3)O(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], the Cu(I) ion is coordinated by the chelating ?-diketonate 1-ferrocenyl-4,4,4-trifluoro-butane-1,3-dione ligand through two O atoms and the two datively bonded triphenyl-phosphane ligands resulting in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination sphere. The Cu(I) ion, together with its chelating butane-1,3-dione group, is mutually coplanar [greatest displacement of an atom from this plane = 0.037?(1)?Å], and the Cu(I) ion lies slightly above [0.013?(1)?Å] the plane. The overall geometry, including the bond distances and angles within the complex, corresponds to those of other reported copper(I) ?-diketon-ates featuring organic groups at the ?-diketonate ligand.

Project description:The title salt, C(3)H(10)N(+)·C(14)H(8)F(3)O(2) (-), constitutes the first organic crystal containing a residue of 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(naphthalen-2-yl)butane-1,3-dione. The terminal -CF(3) group is disordered over two locations [occupancy ratio = 0.830?(7):0.170?(7)]. Bond delocalization involving the two carbonyl groups and the ?-carbon was observed. The crystal packing is mediated by several supra-molecular inter-actions, namely charged-assisted N-H?O hydrogen bonds, C-H?F and C-F?F short contacts and C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, [K(C10H5ClO2F3)(H2O)] n , the two independent K(+) ions are located on a twofold rotation axis. For each of the cations, the distorted cubic coordination environment is defined by two F and four O atoms of symmetry-related 1,4-chloro-phenyl-4,4,4-tri-fluoro-butane-1,3-dionate anions and by two O atoms of water mol-ecules. The ?4-bridging character of the anion and the ?2-bridging of the water mol-ecule lead to the formation of layers parallel to (100). The coordinating water mol-ecules are also involved in O-H?O hydrogen bonds that reinforce the mol-ecular cohesion within the layers, which are stacked along [100]. The ?-diketonate anion is not planar, with an angle of 31.78?(10)° between the mean planes of the diketonate group and the chloro-phenyl ring.

Project description:The title complex, [Nd(C(8)H(4)F(3)O(2)S)(3)(H(2)O)(2)]·CH(3)CN, consists of an Nd(III) ion surrounded by three 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxo-1-(thio-phen-2-yl)but-1-en-1-olate ligands, coordinated through the O atoms, and two water mol-ecules. The Nd-O bond lengths range from 2.372?(2) to 2.513?(2)?Å. The metal ion displays a coordination number of eight and a square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry. A single uncoordinated acetonitrile mol-ecule is present in the asymmetric unit. Two of the three thio-phene rings are disordered, resulting from a 180° rotation with respect to the ?-diketonate moiety. The coordinated water mol-ecules act as hydrogen-bond donors towards the acetonitrile N atom and the ?-diketonate O atoms.
