Aqua-bis-(methacrylato-?O)bis(pyridine-?N)copper(II).

ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Cu(C(4)H(5)O(2))(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(H(2)O)], the Cu(II) cation is located on a twofold rotation axis and coordinated by two methyl-acrylate anions, two pyridine ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The coordinated water mol-ecule is also located on the twofold axis. In the crystal structure O-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming chains along the c axis.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Ni(C(8)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(H(2)O)], the Ni(II) atom is in a distorted octa-hedral arrangement, coordinated by three carboxylate O atoms from one bidentate 4-methyl-benzoate ligand and one monodentate 4-methyl-benzoate ligand, two N atoms from pyridine ligands, axially positioned, and a water mol-ecule. The equatorially positioned water mol-ecule and uncoordinated carb-oxylate O atom form an intra-molecular hydrogen bond. An inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the coordinated water mol-ecule and carboxylate O atom of the 4-methyl-benzoate ligand forms infinite chains along the b axis. These chains are connected by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title carboxyl-ate-bridged binuclear copper complex, [Cu(2)(C(4)H(5)O(2))(4)(C(5)H(6)N(2))(2)], each Cu(II) ion has a distorted square-based pyramidal environment formed by one N and four O atoms. The asymmetric unit contains two halves of two centrosymmetric mol-ecules, with Cu⋯Cu separations of 2.6498 (8) and 2.6528 (8) Å.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Cu(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(7)H(10)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) ion, located on a crystallographic inversion centre, is six coordinated by two N atoms of two 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine (DMAP) ligands in apical positions and four O atoms from two symmetry-related opposite acetate anions, which are asymmetrically bonded in the equatorial plane. The complex and the crystal packing of the complex are stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, giving R(4) (2)(10) rings and generating a layer-like structure.

The geometry is square-pyramidal with the water O atom occupying the apical position. The carboxyl-ate group bridges adjacent Cu atoms, forming an infinite zigzag chain extending parallel to [001]. The chains are linked into layers by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The Cu and water O atoms lie on special positions of site symmetry 2.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C(2)HCl(2)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)], the Cu(II) ion has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The equatorial positions are occupied by two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand [Cu-N = 1.994 (3) and 2.027 (3) Å] and two O atoms from dichloro-acetate ligands and a water mol-ecule [Cu-O = 1.971 (2) and 1.939 (2) Å]. One O atom from another dichloro-acetate ligand occupies the apical positon [Cu-O = 2.152 (3) Å]. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers. Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(2)O(4))(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)], the Cu(II) atom is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal geometry by two N atoms belonging to the two 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole ligands, two O atoms of the oxalate anion providing an O,O'-chelating coordination mode, and an O atom of the water mol-ecule occupying the apical position. The crystal packing shows a well defined layer structure. Intra-layer connections are realised through a system of hydrogen bonds while the nature of the inter-layer inter-actions is completely hydro-phobic, including no hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(2)H(2)ClO(2))(2)(C(8)H(7)NO)(2)(CH(4)O)], the Cu(2+) ion has a highly distorted square-bipyramidal (4 + 1 + 1) coordination environment and is bonded to three carboxyl-ate O atoms of two chloro-acetate anions (monodentate and asymmetrically bidentate), two pyridine N atoms of 2-methyl-furo[3,2-c]pyridine and one methanol O atom. There is an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a three-dimensional network and π-π stacking inter-actions [3.44-3.83 Å] are observed between symmetry-related rings of 2-methyl-furo[3,2-c]pyridine. Further inter-actions in the crystal structure are a short Cl⋯Cl inter-action [3.384 (2)Å] and C-H⋯π inter-actions between 2-methyl-furo[3,2-c]pyridine rings.
