Catena-Poly[[diaqua-cadmium(II)]-?-(methyl morpholino dichloro-methylene-diphospho-nato)-?O,O':O''-[tetra-aqua-cadmium(II)]-?-(methyl morpholino dichloro-methyl-enediphospho-nato)-?O:O',O''].

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cd(C(6)H(11)Cl(2)NO(6)P(2))(H(2)O)(3)](n), contains two octahedrally coordinated Cd atoms located in special positions, one on a twofold rotation axis and the other on a centre of symmetry. The metal atoms are connected by methyl morpholino dichloro-methyl-enediphospho-nate ligands into chains in the c-axis direction. These chains are further connected by O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a layer-like construction along (100).
