ABSTRACT: In the title dinuclear complex, [Zn(2)I(4)(C(6)H(8)N(6))(2)], two Zn(II )atoms are bridged by two 1,2-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)ethane (btre) ligands, forming a centrosymmetric metallacycle. The coordination geometry of the Zn(II) ion is distorted tetra-hedral with the coordination sphere formed by two N atoms from the triazole rings of two symmetry-related btre ligands and two iodide ligands.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C2N3)2(C12H12N6)2] n the Co(II) atom lies on a centre of symmetry and displays a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The 1,2-bis-[(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)meth-yl]benzene ligands link adjacent metal atoms into polymeric chains parallel to the c axis, forming centrosymmetric 26-membered metallamacrocycles. The conformation of the metallamacrocycles is stabilized by pairs of C-H?N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles formed by the planes of the triazole rings with those of the benzene ring are 79.4?(2) and 79.1?(2)°. In the crystal, the chains inter-act through C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, 4C(9)H(6)O(6)·C(6)H(8)N(6)·2H(2)O, crystallizes in a layer structure where each sheet is composed of anellated hydrogen-bonded rings of six distinct sizes: R(2) (2)(16), R(3) (3)(18), R(4) (4)(12), R(4) (4)(18), R(4) (4)(22) and R(4) (4)(25). The two largest rings, viz. R(4) (4)(22) and R(4) (4)(25), are associated with O-H?N bonds from the carboxyl groups to the triazole rings. The typical head-to-tail carbox-yl-carboxyl R(2) (2)(8) motif is not observed.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. In the crystal, the Mn(II) cations are linked into chains along the c-axis direction by the bpa ligands. The chains are further connected via a non-coordinating bpa ligand into layers parallel to (3-10) via O-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.
