ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(28)H(30)N(2)P(2), adopts a well documented and studied gauche conformation around the hydrazine bond. Bond lengths and angles are in the typical ranges expected for P-N and P-C bonds. A normal hydrazine N-N bond length of 1.426?(3)?Å is observed.

Project description:The title binuclear compound, [W(2)Cl(6)(NO)(2)(C(10)H(22)P(2))(3)], contains two W atoms which are bridged by a bis-(diethyl-phosphino)-ethane (depe) ligand. The seven-coord-inated tungsten(II) centres display distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometries with trans nitrosyl and chloride ligands. The title mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The ethane group of the non-bridging depe ligand is positionally disordered, with site-occupancy factors of 0.63 and 0.37. In the crystal structure, the binuclear mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?Cl inter-actions. In addition, weak intra-molecular C-H?Cl inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric complex, [Cu(2)(CN)(2)(C(26)H(24)P(2))(3)]·2CH(3)OH, consists of two five-membered [Cu(dppe)CN] rings [dppe is 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane] bridged by one ?(2)-dppe ligand, and two methanol solvent mol-ecules. The angles around the central metal atom indicate that each Cu(I) atom is located in the center of a distorted tetra-hedron. The coordination sphere of each Cu(I) atom is formed by three P atoms from two dppe ligands, and one C atom from the cyanide ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?N hydrogen bonds, which are formed by the O-H donor group from methanol and the N-atom acceptor from a cyanide ligand.

The mol-ecule is centrosymmetric, with the center of symmetry located between the methyl-ene C atoms of the bridging dppe ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra-molecular C-H?Br hydrogen bonds and inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions, with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.2055?(1)?Å.

An eight-membered ring comprising the two Ni atoms, four P atoms and the CH(2) groups of the two dppm ligands is thus formed. The methyl group in one of the solvent toluene mol-ecules is disordered over two positions with equal occupancies.

Project description:The diphenyl-phosphine groups in the title compound, C(29)H(31)NP(2), are staggered relative to the PNP backbone. The N atom adopts an almost planar geometry with the two P atoms and the C atom attached to it, in order to accommodate the steric bulk of the phenyl groups and the alkyl group. Three C atoms of the 1,2-dimethylpropylamine group are disordered over two positions in a 9:1 ratio. The mol-ecules pack diagonally in the unit cell across the ac plane in a head-to-tail fashion.
