ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(19)H(22)N(2)O(2)S(2), consists of a tetra-cyclic ring system containing an azocine skeleton with methoxy-ethyl and dithiol-ane groups as substituents. The benzene and five-membered N-heterocyclic rings are nearly coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 0.81?(12)°. The dithiol-ane ring adopts an envelope conformation. Inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen-bonding and weak C-H?? inter-actions are present in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ni(C(20)H(22)N(2)O(4))]·H(2)O, the Ni(II) ion and the water mol-ecule are located on a twofold rotation axis. The Ni ion is coordinated by two N [Ni-N = 1.8462 (18) Å] and two O [Ni-O = 1.8645 (14) Å] atoms in a distorted square-planar geometry. The water mol-ecule and the Ni complex mol-ecule are paired via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

New route for synthesis of 2-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-1,5-methanoazocino[4,3-<i>b</i>]indole and DFT investigation.

Project description:Development of efficient sequences for the synthesis of the title compound (2-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-1,5-methanoazocino[4,3-b]indole) (7) was described. The title compound was synthesized through several steps starting from phenylhydrazine hydrochloride and dimethyl (R)-2-(3-oxocyclohexyl)malonate. In this route, all synthesized compounds were observed by spectroscopic tools (FT-IR, NMR): Methyl-2-(2,3,4,9-1H-carbazol-2-yl)acetate (3), 2-(2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-carbazol-2-yl)acetic acid (4), N-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-2-(2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-carbazol-2-yl)acetamide (5), 2-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-1,2,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-3H-1,5-methanoazocino[4,3-b]indol-3-one (6), 2-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-2,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-1H-1,5-methanoazocino[4,3-b]indole (7). The central step in these syntheses is the dehydrogenative reaction, which constructs the tetracyclic ring system from a much simpler tetracyclic precursor. The six-stable conformers of the compound (7) were used for further calculations such as FT-IR, NMR, NLO, and FMO analyses, performed at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level. This work revealed that (7) can be a good material to use in the non-linear optical material because its β tensor is greater ten times than that of the urea.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(18)H(24)O(12), has crystallographic 2/m symmetry with two acetate group located on a mirror plane. The H-Csp(3)-O-Csp(2) torsion angles characterizing orientation of the acetyl groups with respect to the cyclo-hexane ring are 0.0, 23.9 and -23.9°. The cyclo-hexane ring is in a chair conformation with all substituents in equatorial positions. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected through C-H?O hydrogen bonds into a chain extending along the c axis.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(8)H(20)N)[Mn(C(22)H(18)N(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(2)][Fe(CN)(6)]·2CH(3)OH·2C(2)H(5)OH or [NEt(4)][Mn(3-Meosalophen)(H(2)O)(2)](2)[Fe(CN)(6)]·2CH(3)OH·2C(2)H(5)OH, the asymmetric unit consists of one half of an [NEt(4)](+) cation disordered around a twofold axis, the [Mn(3-Meosalophen)(H(2)O)(2)](+) coordination cation, one half of a C(2) symmetric [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) anion and disordered methanol and ethanol solvent mol-ecules that are equally populated at two different sites. The Mn(III) atom chelated by the 3-Meosalophen ligand adopts a slightly distorted MnN(2)O(4) octa-hedral geometry with the coordination completed by two water mol-ecules. The [Mn(3-Meosalophen)(H(2)O)(2)](+) cations, [Fe(CN)(6)](3- )anions and solvent mol-ecules are connected into a zigzag chain through hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn3(C12H6O12)(H2O)6] n , comprises one Mn(II) ion, one third of a cyclo-hexane-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexa-carboxyl-ate anion and two aqua ligands. The anion is completed by application of a -3 axis. The Mn(II) ion is six-coordinated by six O atoms from two aqua ligands and three different cyclo-hexa-carboxyl-ate anions in an octa-hedral geometry. The six carboxyl-ate groups adopt a bridging bidentate mode to ligate the Mn(II) ions. Thus, each cyclo-hexane-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexa-carboxyl-ate anion adopts a μ9-connected mode, ligating nine different Mn(II) ions and forming a three-dimensional framework. In the framework, there are strong O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, which further stabilize the crystal structure.

In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H?F inter-actions. A ?-? inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.530?(1)?Å is observed. Four F atoms of the hexa-fluoro-phosphate anion are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.889?(6):0.111?(6) ratio.

Project description:The title dinuclear copper complex, [Cu(2)(C(15)H(15)N(6)O)Cl(2)(CH(3)OH)(2)]ClO(4), was prepared by the reaction of copper(II) chloride with bis-[1-(2-pyrid-yl)ethyl-idene]carbonohydrazide in the presence of sodium perchlorate in a methanol solution. It features a mono-deprotonated bis-tridentate ligand, which coordinates to two independent Cu(II) ions, one of which is coordinated by pyridyl N, hydrazyl N and carbonyl O atoms. The second Cu(II) ion is coordinated by the pyridyl N and two hydrazyl N atoms from different hydrazyl groups. The coordination environments of both Cu(II) ions are completed by a chloride ion and a methanol mol-ecule. The dihedral angle between the pyridyl groups is 27.46 (10)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by O-H⋯O(perchlorate), O-H⋯Cl and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Co(C(13)H(11)N(4)O)(2)(CH(3)OH)(2)], is a mononuclear six-coordinated octa-hedral cobalt(II) complex of C(i) mol-ecular symmetry. The Co(II) ion is coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from two 1,5-biphenyl-carbazide ligands, and two O atoms from two methanol molecules. Two diphenyl-carbazidate ligands and the central Co(II) ion form the basal plane, with the two methanol mol-ecules located in axial positions. The crystal packing is defined by bifurcated O-H?N hydrogen bonding and intra-molecular N-H?O inter-actions.
