ABSTRACT: IN THE CRYSTAL OF THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 2-(3,5-diamino-6-chloro-pyrazin-2-ylcarbon-yl)guanidinium chloride methanol disolvate], C(6)H(9)ClN(7)O(+)·Cl(-)·2CH(3)OH , the components are connected by N-H?N, N-H?Cl, N-H?O, O-H?Cl and O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. The dihedral angle between the aromatic ring and the guanidine residue is 6.0?(2)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C26H28N5O2+·Cl-·CH3OH {systematic name: 4-(2-carbamoyl-1-benzo-furan-5-yl)-1-[4-(5-cyano-1H-indol-3-yl)but-yl]piperazin-1-ium chloride methanol monosolvate}, the protonated piperazine ring adopts a chair conformation. The indole ring plane is nearly perpendicular to the benzo-furan ring system, with a dihedral angle of 85.77 (2)°. In the crystal, the organic cations, Cl- anions and methanol solvent mol-ecules are linked by classical N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, and weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

The cation has an aconitine carbon skeleton with four six-membered rings of which three display chair conformations and one a boat conformation, and two five-membered rings with envelope conformations. In the crystal, the components are connected into an infinite chain by inter- and intra-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

Meloxicam hydro-chloride.

Project description:The title salt, C14H14N3O4S2 +·Cl- [systematic name: 2-(4-hy-droxy-2-methyl-1,1-dioxo-1,2-benzo-thia-zine-3-amido)-5-methyl-1,3-thia-zol-3-ium chloride] is the hydro-chloride derivative of meloxicam, a drug used to treat pain and inflammation in rheumatic disorders and osteoarthritis. Although its mol-ecular structure is similar to that previously reported for the hydro-bromide analogue, both salts are not isomorphous. Different crystal structures originate from a conformational modification, arising from a degree of rotational freedom for the thia-zolium ring in the cations. By taking as a reference the conformation of meloxicam, the thia-zolium ring is twisted by 10.96 and -16.70° in the hydro-chloride and hydro-bromide salts, while the 1,2-benzo-thia-zine core is a rigid scaffold. This behaviour could explain why meloxicam is a polymorphous compound.

Project description:In the title compound, [V(C15H11O2)2O(CH3OH)]·2CH3OH, the V(IV) atom is coordinated by two 1,3-diphenyl-propane-1,3-dionate ligands and an oxide ligand in an axial position. The sixth position is occupied by the O atom of a methanol group bonded trans to the oxide atom. The octa-hedral geometry is significantly distorted, with the V(IV) atom lying 0.330?(3)?Å above the equatorial plane formed by the O atoms of the two ?-diketonate ligands. In the crystal, O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the coordinating methanol group in the complex and the two methanol solvent mol-ecules lead to the formation of polymeric chains along the c-axis direction. Weak C-H?O contacts are also observed.

Acta Cryst. B29, 1630-1635]. In the crystal, the cations and chloride anions are linked into a helical chain propagating parallel to the b-axis direction by N-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The title salt and the morphine monohydrate [Bye (1976 ▶) Acta Chem. Scand.30, 549-554] display very similar one-dimensional packing modes of their morphine components.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C19H23FN3O3 (+)·Cl(-)·2H2O [systematic name: 4-(3-carb-oxy-1-cyclo-propyl-6-fluoro-4-oxo-1,4-di-hydro-quin-o-lin-7-yl)-1-ethyl-piperazin-1-ium chloride dihydrate], consists of two independent monocations of the protonated enrofloxacin, two chloride anions and four water mol-ecules. In the cations, the piperazinium rings adopt chair conformations and the dihedral angles between the cyclo-propyl ring and the 10-membered quinoline ring system are 56.55 (2) and 51.11 (2)°. An intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is observed in each cation. In the crystal, the components are connected via O-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and a π-π inter-action between the benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6726 (13) Å], resulting in a three-dimensional array.
