Trans-Bis(1,3-diphenyl-propane-1,3-dionato)(methanol)oxidovanadium(IV) methanol disolvate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [V(C15H11O2)2O(CH3OH)]·2CH3OH, the V(IV) atom is coordinated by two 1,3-diphenyl-propane-1,3-dionate ligands and an oxide ligand in an axial position. The sixth position is occupied by the O atom of a methanol group bonded trans to the oxide atom. The octa-hedral geometry is significantly distorted, with the V(IV) atom lying 0.330?(3)?Å above the equatorial plane formed by the O atoms of the two ?-diketonate ligands. In the crystal, O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the coordinating methanol group in the complex and the two methanol solvent mol-ecules lead to the formation of polymeric chains along the c-axis direction. Weak C-H?O contacts are also observed.

The coordination polyhedron shows a slightly distorted Archimedean square-anti-prismatic geometry. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:The two Sn-O-C-C-C-O chelate rings in the title compound, [Sn(C(15)H(11)O(2))(2)Cl(2)]·0.5C(7)H(8), adopt envelope conformations, with the Sn atom deviating from the least-squares plane passing through the C and O atoms by 0.626 (1) Å in one ring and by 0.690 (1) Å for the other. The two planes are aligned at an angle of 59.6 (1)°. The Cl atoms occupy cis positions in the octa-hedral SnCl(2)O(4) coordination environment. The solvent mol-ecule is disordered about a center of inversion.

Project description:The title complex, [Ti2Cl4{CH3C(CH2O)2(CH2OH)}2], lies across a centre of symmetry with a diethyl ether solvent mol-ecule hydrogen bonded to the -CH2OH groups on either side of it. The Ti(IV) atom is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by a tripodal ligand and two terminal chloride atoms. There are three coordination modes for the tripodal ligand distinguishable on the basis of their very different Ti-O bond lengths. For the terminal alkoxo ligand, the Ti-O distance is 1.760?(1)?Å, the asymmetric bridge system has Ti-O bond lengths of 1.911?(1) and 2.048?(1)?Å. The Ti-O bond length for the alcohol O atom is the longest at 2.148?(1)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, [Au(2)Br(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))], features linearly coordinated Au(I) atoms within P,Br-donor sets. The central portion of the mol-ecule is practically planar as quanti-fied by the Br-Au⋯Au-Br torsion angle of -169.9 (2)°. The P-Au-Br chromophores are twisted with respect to each other [dihedral angle = 52.3 (6)°]. The benzene rings on each P atom lie on either side of this plane. The Au atoms are positioned at the periphery of the mol-ecule, which facilitates the formation of Au⋯Au inter-actions [3.2575 (11) Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular chains along the b-axis direction. The Au⋯Au inter-actions are responsible for the deviations from the ideal linear geometry for each Au atom.

The angles around the central metal atom indicate that each Cu(I) atom is located in the center of a distorted tetra-hedron. The coordination sphere of each Cu(I) atom is formed by three P atoms from two dppe ligands, and one C atom from the cyanide ligand. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?N hydrogen bonds, which are formed by the O-H donor group from methanol and the N-atom acceptor from a cyanide ligand.
