Tetra-kis-?-l-alanine-?O:O'-bis-[tetra-aqua-terbium(III)] hexa-perchlorate.

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Tb(2)(C(3)H(7)NO(2))(4)(H(2)O)(8)](ClO(4))(6), contains a dinuclear cation and six perchlorate anions, one of which is disordered. In the cation, the four l-alanine mol-ecules are present in their zwitterionic form and bridge two Tb(3+) ions through their carboxyl-ate O atoms. Each Tb atom is also coordinated by four water mol-ecules in a square-anti-prismatic geometry. In the crystal structure, the cations and anions are held together via inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Tb(2)(C(3)H(7)NO(2))(4)(H(2)O)(8)](ClO(4))(6), contains a dinuclear cation and six perchlorate anions, one of which is disordered. Project description:In the title centrosymmetric binuclear complex, [Y(2)(C(10)H(6)NO(2))(6)(H(2)O)(4)]·2H(2)O, each Y(III) atom is nine-coordin-ated by nine O atoms from five ligands and two water mol-ecules in a slightly distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic coordination environment. The Y(III) atoms are separated by a distance of 4.0363?(9)?Å. The ligands coordinate in three different modes: chelating, bridging and a mixed chelating bridging mode. Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Nd(2)(C(7)H(7)NO(2))(4)(H(2)O)(8)]Cl(6)·4H(2)O, consists of dimeric cationic units related by an inversion centre. The two Nd(III) atoms are linked by two bridging bidentate carboxyl-ate groups and two bidentate chelating bridging carboxyl-ate groups, with an Nd?Nd separation of 4.1259?(4)?Å. Each Nd(III) atom is nine-coordin-ated by five O atoms from the carboxyl-ate groups of the zwitterionic azaniumylbenzoate ligands and four from water mol-ecules. They adopt a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic arrangement. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene ring and the carboxlate groups are 7.7?(6) and 24.4?(5)°. The two carboxyl-ate groups are almost perpendicular to one another with a dihedral angle of 84.0?(7)°, while the two benzene rings are inclined to one another by 81.8?(2)°. The mol-ecular packing is stabilized by O-H(water)?Cl, O-H(water)?N, N-H?Cl, N-H?O, and O-H(water)?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.500?(3)?Å] between symmetry-related benzene rings. All of the Cl(-) anions and the uncoordinated water molecules are disordered over two sets of sites with different occupancy ratios.

Project description:In the title dinuclear complex, [Tb(2)(C(8)H(7)O(3))(6)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], each Tb(III) ion is eight-coordinated by two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and six O atoms from the carboxyl-ate groups of five 4-methoxy-benzoate ligands in a distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry. All six 4-methoxy-benzoate ligands act in a bidentate mode, two coordinating to one Tb center each and the other four bridging two Tb centers [Tb?Tb separation = 4.3144?(6)?Å]. In the crystal, inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between the aromatic rings of 1,10-phenanthroline and 4-methoxy-benzoate ligands [centroid-centroid distance = 3.742?(9)?Å] link two mol-ecules into a centrosymmetric dimer. Weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds help to consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric dinuclear title compound, [Tb(2)(C(7)H(3)F(2)O(2))(6)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)], the Tb(III) ion is coordinated by an N,N'-bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine mol-ecule, and two O,O'-bidentate 2,4-difluoro-benzoate (dfb) anions. One of the latter also bonds to the second Tb(III) centre through one of its O atoms. The third dfb anion bonds to one Tb atom from each of its O atoms. Thus, the three dfb species have three different coordination modes. This results in an irregular TbN(2)O(7) coordination sphere for the metal ion. The F atoms and their associated H atoms in the simple bidentate dfb anion are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.672 (10):0.328 (10) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(H2O)6][BaCr(C2O4)3(H2O)3]2·4H2O, was obtained in the form of single crystals from the slow evaporation of an aqueous mixture of {Ba6(H2O)17[Cr(C2O4)3]4}·7H2O and NiSO4·6H2O in the molar ratio 1:4. Its structure is made up of corrugated anionic (101) layers of formula [BaCr(C2O4)3(H2O)3] n n - that leave voids accommodating the charge-compensating cations, [Ni(H2O)6]2+ (point group symmetry ), as well as the water mol-ecules of crystallization. The anionic layers are built from the connection of barium and chromium atoms through bridging oxalate ligands. The CrIII atom is hexa-coordinated by O atoms of three oxalate ligands while the BaII atom is tenfold coordinated by three O atoms of water mol-ecules and seven O atoms of four oxalate ligands. Each NiII atom sits on an inversion center and is coordinated by six water mol-ecules. One of the uncoordinated water mol-ecules is disordered over two sites, with a refined occupancy ratio of 0.51?(5):0.49?(5). In the crystal, extensive O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions link the anionic layers, the charge-balancing cations as well as the water mol-ecules of crystallization into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, [Co(C(44)H(24)Cl(4)N(4)){(C(4)H(9))(3)P}(2)]ClO(4), the Co(III) centre has a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry and is coordinated by four N atoms of the tetra-pyrrolic ring in the equatorial positions and two phosphine ligands in the axial positions. The dihedral angles between meso-substituted chloro-phenyl rings and the basic tetra-pyrrolic ring are 82.66?(9), 82.16?(7), 83.97?(11) and 76.87?(8)°. In one of the phosphine ligands, the two terminal methyl groups are disordered over two positions with refined site-occupancy ratios of 0.70?(7):0.30?(7) and 0.66?(2):0.34?(2). In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked together along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H?Cl inter-actions. The crystal structure is further stabilized by intra-molecular C-H?O and C-H?N inter-actions and inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?? inter-actions.

These metal coordination units are connected by bridging imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate and sulfate ligands, generating a three-dimensional network. The crystal structure is further stabilized by N-H?O, O-H?O, and C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between water mol-ecules, SO(4) (2-) anions, and imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Tb(NO(3))(2)(C(6)H(18)N(3)OP)(4)][AgWS(4)]}(n), the polymeric anionic chain {[AgWS(4)](-)}(n) extends along [001]. The Tb(III) atom in the cation is coordinated by eight O atoms from two nitrate and four hexamethylphosphate ligands in a distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry. Together with the two nitrate ligands, the cation is univalent, which leads to the anionic chain having a [WS(4)Ag] repeat unit. The polymeric anionic chain has a distorted linear configuration with W-Ag-W and Ag-W-Ag angles of 161.49?(2) and 153.743?(13) °, respectively. The title complex is isotypic with the Y, Yb, Eu, Nd, La, Dy, Sm and Lu analogues.
