Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(20)H(18)N(2)O(2) (2+)·2Cl(-), is composed of one-half of the 2,5-dibenzoyl-benzene-1,4-diaminium dication, located on a centre of inversion, and one Cl(-) ion. The dihedral angle between the central benzene ring and the benzoyl phenyl ring is 53.3 (2)°. In the crystal structure, ions are linked to form a two-dimensional network parallel to the (10) plane by N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.

Disordered structure of propane-1,2-diaminium dichloride.

Project description:In the title compound, C(3)H(12)N(2) (2+)·2Cl(-), the cations are disordered over two well resolved positions in a 0.525?(13):0.475?(13) ratio. The disorder involves two C atoms which assume positions that make an almost mirror-sym-metrical system. Similar disorder is observed both at room temperature and at 120?(1)?K. The conformation of the NCCN chain in both components is close to trans (the torsion angles ca ±170°), while that of CCCN chain is close to gauche (±50°). In the crystal, a network of relatively strong N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds connects the cations and anions into one-cation-deep layers parallel to (001); there are R(2) (4)(8) and R(2) (4)(11) ring motifs within the plane. The planes are only loosely connected by van der Waals contacts and electrostatic inter-actions between cations and anions.

Project description:The cation of the title salt, C4H14N2 (2+)·2Cl(-), is located on a crystallographic inversion center and is bis-ected by a mirror plane, with one quarter of the C4H14N2 (2+)·2Cl(-) formula unit being crystallographically unique. he chloride ions also sit on a mirror plane. The conformation of the cation is a regular straight-chain conformation with all non-H atoms in anti positions. In the crystal, hydrogen bonding between N-H groups and chloride anions yields a zigzag ladder-type structure along [010].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title iron hybrid fluoride, (C(3)H(12)N(2))(2)[FeF(6)]F·3H(2)O, contains two propane-1,3-diamin-ium [(H(2)dap)(2+)] cations, an octa-hedral [FeF(6)](3-) anion, an isolated F(-) anion and three water mol-ecules of solvation. Each [FeF(6)](3-) anion is surrounded by four separate hydrogen-bonded water mol-ecules in the equatorial sites and by five separate aminium cation donor groups. The axial F atoms are only involved in N-H?F hydrogen bonds, resulting in a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(3)H(12)N(2) (2+)·2C(6)H(4)NO(2) (-)·H(2)O, consists of half of a doubly protonated propane-1,3-diammonium dication, a pyridine-4-carboxyl-ate anion and half of a solvent water mol-ecule; the dication and the solvent water are located on a twofold rotation axis which passes through the central C atom of the dication and the water O atom. The carboxyl-ate group of the anion appears to be delocalized on the basis of the C-O bond lengths. In the crystal, the components are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

The terminal NH(3) (+) groups insert into the crown rings through strong N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, resulting in the formation of a 1:2 supra-molecular [(C(3)H(12)N(2))·(C(12)H(24)O(6))(2)](2+) complex. The anions are linked to the supra-molecular complexes via weak C-H?F hydrogen bonds. The F atoms of the anion are disordered over two orientations with site occupancies of 0.5.

Project description:In the title mol-ecular salt, C12H22N2 (2+)·2Cl(-), which was obtained as a by-product in the attempted synthesis of a mercury derivative, the conformation of the N-C-C-N bond in the cation is anti [torsion angle = 175.1?(10)°]. In the crystal, the cations are linked to the anions by N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, generating ion-triplets. These are linked by numerous weak C-H?Cl inter-actions, generating a three-dimensional network. The structure was refined as an inversion twin.
