ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, NH(4) (+)·PF(6) (-)·C(12)H(24)O(6), the cation is situated in the 18-crown-6 ring, forming a supra-molecular rotator-stator-like structure held by N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The six O atoms of the crown ether lie approximately in a plane [mean deviation 0.2129?(3)?Å]; the N atom is displaced by 0.864?(3)Å from the centroid of the 18-crown-6 ring. The slightly distorted tetra-hedral cations further inter-act with the slightly distorted octa-hedral anions via inter-molecular N-H?F hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, (NH3OH)2[PtCl6]·2C12H24O6, the Pt(IV) atom is coordinated by six chloride anions in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Pt-Cl bond lengths are comparable to those reported for other hexa-chlorido-platinate(IV) species. The hy-droxy-ammonium groups act as linkers between the [PtCl6](2-) anion and the crown ether mol-ecules. The anion is linked to two hy-droxy-ammonium cations via O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds and each hy-droxy-ammonium moiety is linked to a crown ether mol-ecule by hydrogen bonds between ammonium H atoms and 18-crown-6 O atoms. The crown ether mol-ecules have the classic crown shape in which all O atoms are located in the inner part of the crown ether ring and all -CH2- groups are turned to the outside.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(C(13)H(22)P)(2)]PF(6), the Co(III) atom is sandwiched between two (diisobutyl-phosphino)cyclo-penta-dienenyl ligands. The two diisobutyl-phophine units are trans to each other with respect to the Co(III) metal center. The PF(6) (-) anion links the cobaltocenium cations via weak C-H?F hydrogen bonds into a chain running along the b axis. The chains are further linked by C-H?F hydrogen bonds, forming a layer extending parallel to the (10) plane.

Project description:In the title compound, CH(3)NH(3) (+)·BF(4) (-)·C(12)H(24)O(6), the methyl-ammonium cation makes three N-H?O hydrogen bonds to the 18-crown-6 mol-ecule. The -NH(3) (+) and -CH(3) groups of the cation adopt a staggered conformation. The F atoms of the tetra-fluoridoborate anion are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.519?(11):0.481?(11) ratio. Weak C-H?F inter-actions occur in the crystal, which possibly correlate with the anion disorder.

Project description:The reaction of dimethyl-amine, 18-crown-6, and perchloric acid in methanol yields the title compound, C(2)H(8)N(+)·ClO(4) (-)·C(12)H(24)O(6)·H(2)O. The dimethyl-ammonium cation and the water mol-ecule inter-act with the 18-crown-6 unit: N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are formed between the ammonium NH(2) (+) group and four O atoms of the crown ether, while the water mol-ecule on the other side of 18-crown-6 ring forms O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with two other O atoms of the crown ether. All conventional donors and acceptors in the cations are thus engaged in hydrogen bonding. The ClO(4) (-) anion is disordered over two sites, and occupancies for the disordered O atoms were fixed at 0.5. In the crystal, the cations and anions are arranged in alternating layers.

The protonated dimethyl-amine contains one NH(2) (+) group, resulting in a 1:1 supra-molecular rotator-stator structure (CH(3)-NH(2) (+)-CH(3))(18-crown-6), through N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the ammonium group of the cation and the O atoms of the crown ether. In the crystal, all three components lie on a common crystallographic mirror plane normal to [010].

Project description:The title compound, (C3H10N2)2[AlF6]F·3H2O, was obtained using the solvothermal method with aluminium hydroxide, HF and propane-1,3-di-amine as precursors in ethanol as solvent. The structure consists of isolated [AlF6](3-) octa-hedra, diprotonated propane-1,3-di-amine cations [(H2dap)(2+)], free fluoride ions and water mol-ecules of solvation. The Al-F bond lengths in the octa-hedral [AlF6](3-) anions range from 1.7690?(19) to 1.8130?(19)?Å, with an average value of 1.794?Å. Each [AlF6](3-) anion is surrounded by three water mol-ecules and by six diprotonated amine cations. The 'free' fluoride ion is hydrogen bonded to four H atoms belonging to four dications and has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The three water mol-ecules are connected by hydrogen bonds, forming trimers that connect the AlF6 octa-hedra and dications into a three-dimensional framework.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(CN)(2)(C(18)H(18)N(4))]PF(6), the Co(III) atom together with one of the pyridyl rings and two cyanide anions are located on a mirror plane, while the P atom is located on an inversion centre. The Co(III) atom exhibits an octa-hedral geometry, coordinated by four N atoms from the tris-(2-pyridyl-meth-yl)amine ligand with an average Co-N distance of 1.953?(2)?Å, and two cyanide C atoms with an average Co-C distance of 1.895?(2)?Å. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H?N and C-H?F inter-actions.
