Azido-{2-[bis-(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)amino]-ethano-lato-?N,O,O',O''}cobalt(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Co(C(6)H(14)NO(3))(N(3))] or [Co(teaH(2))N(3)], the Co(II) atom resides in a trigonal-bipymidal O(3)N(2) environment formed by three O atoms and one N atom from a simply deprotonated tetra-dentate triethano-lamine ligand, and one N atom from an azide ligand. The O atoms define the equatorial plane whereas both N atoms are in axial positions. The mononuclear units are linked through O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the ethanol OH groups and the ethano-late O atom of a neighbouring complex into chains running parallel to [010].

Project description:In the title bicyclic trinuclear pyrazolate amino-alcohol complex, [Cu3(C5H7N2)2(C6H14NO3)2]Br2·1.5H2O, the central Cu atom lies on a center of symmetry and is involved in the formation of two five-membered rings. It has a coordination number of 4, is in a distorted tetra-hedral environment and is connected by the bridging oxygen atoms of the deprotonated OH groups of different amino-alcohol groups, and by the N atoms of deprotonated di-methyl-pyrazole ligands. The peripheral Cu atom is in a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment formed by the nitro-gen atom of the deprotonated bridging di-methyl-pyrazole unit, the bridging oxygen atom of the deprotonated OH group, two oxygen atoms of the protonated hy-droxy groups and the nitro-gen atom of tri-ethano-lamine. One of the C atoms and the Br- anion were found to be disordered over two positions with occupancy factors of 0.808 (9):0.192 (9) and 0.922 (3):0.078 (3), respectively.

Project description:The complex mol-ecule of the title compound, [Ni(4)(C(4)H(10)NO(2))(4)Cl(4)]·CH(3)OH, consists of a cubane-like {Ni(4)O(4)} core in which each nickel(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by one N and four O atoms of three mono-deprotonated diethano-lamine ligands and by a chloride anion. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular O-H⋯Cl bonds. In the crystal structure, complex mol-ecules and methanol solvent mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by N-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The heterometallic title complex, [Cr(2)Mn(2)(C(5)H(11)NO(2))(2)(C(5)H(12)NO(2))(2)(NCS)(4)]·4C(3)H(7)NO, was prepared using manganese powder, Reineckes salt, ammonium thio-cyanate and a non-aqueous solution of N-methyl-diethano-lamine in air. The centrosymmetric mol-ecular structure of the complex is based on a tetra-nuclear {Mn(2)Cr(2)(?-O)(6)} core. The tetra-nuclear complex mol-ecule and the two uncoordinated dimethyl-formamide mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds, while the two other mol-ecules of dimethyl-formamide do not participate in hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, C4H12NO2 (+)·C6H2N3O7 (-), contain two bis-(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)ammonium cations and two picrate anions. An intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond occurs in each cation. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, which generate two R 2 (1)(6), an R 2 (2)(10) and an R 2 (2)(13) graph-set ring motifs. There are also a number of C-H?O hydrogen bonds present. The sum of these inter-actions leads to the formation a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the zinc(II) complex of bicine, [Zn(C(6)H(12)NO(4))(2)], the deprotonated amino acid O,N,O'-chelates to the metal atom through a carboxyl-ate O atom, a hy-droxy O atom and the N atom, the three atoms occupying fac positions of the distorted octa-hedron surrounding the metal atom. The metal atom lies on a center of inversion. The uncoordinated carboxyl-ate O atom is hydrogen bonded to the hy-droxy groups of adjacent mol-ecules, these two hydrogen bonds leading to the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, C(17)H(20)N(2)O(3), the amino N atom is in a planar environment (sum of angles = 360.0°). All hy-droxy H atoms are involved in hydrogen bonding. In the crystal structure, two O-H?O and an O-H?N(imino) hydrogen bond result in the formation of a three-dimensional network. The latter hydrogen bonding causes distortion of the planarity of the 4-HO-C(6)H(4)-CH=N-C(6)H(4)- fragment by rotation around the =N-C(Ph) bond. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin [refined BASF parameter for the major component = 0.5293?(7)].

Project description:The non-symmetric title mol-ecule, C32H34N2O5, is based on a tetra-substituted ethyl-enedi-amine backbone. The mol-ecular structure consists of three hy-droxy-benzyl groups and one 2-hy-droxy-5-methyl-benzaldehyde group bonded to the N atoms of the di-amine unit. The ethyl-enedi-amine skeleton shows a regular extended conformation, while the spatial orientation of the phenol arms is governed by hydrogen bonds. In the 2-hy-droxy-5-methyl-benzaldehyde group, an intra-molecular S(6) O-H?O hydrogen bond is observed between the alcohol and aldehyde functions, and the neighbouring phenol arm participates in an intra-molecular S(6) O-H?N hydrogen bond. The third phenol group is involved in a bifurcated intra-molecular hydrogen bond with graph-set notation S(6) for O-H?N and O-H?O intra-molecular hydrogen bonds between neighbouring amine and phenol arms, respectively. Finally, the fourth phenol group acts as an acceptor in a bifurcated intra-molecular hydrogen bond and also acts as donor in an inter-molecular hydrogen bond, which connects inversion-related mol-ecules into dimers with R 4 (4)(8) ring motifs.

Project description:The title mononuclear Ni(II) complex, [Ni(C(11)H(11)N(2)O(5))(2)(C(2)H(8)N(2))(2)], is built up by inversion symmetry associated with the central Ni atom. The ethyl-enediamine ligands are non-planar. The r.m.s. deviation from the mean plane of the five-membered Ni-ethyl-amine chelate ring plane is 0.1945 Å. In the crystal structure, complex mol-ecules are linked to each other via N-H⋯O and O--H⋯O hydrogen bonding through translation symmetry along the b and c axes, resulting in an extended supra-molecular network.
