ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Zn(N3)2(C7H10N2)2], the Zn(II) atom is coordinated by two N atoms from two 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine (DMAP) ligands and by two N atoms from two azide anions in a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal, weak C-H?N hydrogen bonds between the DMAP and azide ligands link these discrete complex mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title binuclear complex, [Zn(2)(C(8)H(7)O(2))(4)(C(7)H(10)N(2))(2)], the Zn atoms [Zn?Zn = 3.0287?(6)?Å] are bridged by four 4-methyl-benzoate ligands. The four nearest O atoms around each Zn(II) atom form a distorted square-planar arrangement with the distorted square-pyramidal coordination completed by the pyridine N atom of the 4-(dimethyl-amino)pyridine ligand. In the crystal structure, weak inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions link the mol-ecules into infinite chains. The chains are further linked by weak C-H?? inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Cu(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(7)H(10)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) ion, located on a crystallographic inversion centre, is six coordinated by two N atoms of two 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine (DMAP) ligands in apical positions and four O atoms from two symmetry-related opposite acetate anions, which are asymmetrically bonded in the equatorial plane. The complex and the crystal packing of the complex are stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, giving R(4) (2)(10) rings and generating a layer-like structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, (C7H11N2)2[Mn(NCS)4(C7H10N2)2], the manganese(II) cations are coordinated by four N-bonded thio-cyanate anions and two N-bonded 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine ligands into discrete complex dianions. For charge balance, two 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine counter cations are present, which do not coordinate to the metal cation. The asymmetric unit consists of one manganese(II) cation, four thio-cyanate anions and two 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridine ligands, as well as two protonated 4-(dimethyl-amino)-pyridinium cations. Project description:The mol-ecule of the title Zn(II) complex, [Zn(C(9)H(10)NO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(H(2)O)(2)], contains two 4-(dimethyl-amino)benzoate (DMAB) ligands, one isonicotinamide (INA) ligand and two water mol-ecules; one of the DMAB ions acts as a bidentate ligand while the other and INA are monodentate ligands. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Zn atom form a distorted square-planar arrangement, while the distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the N atom of the INA ligand and the O atom of the water mol-ecule in the axial positions. Intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonding results in the formation of a six-membered ring adopting an envelope conformation. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 4.87?(16) and 2.2?(2)°, while the two benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 65.13?(8)°. The dihedral angle between the benzene and pyridine rings are 11.47?(7) and 74.83?(8)°, respectively. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure. ?-? contacts between the pyridine and benzene rings and between the benzene rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.695?(1) and 3.841?(1)?Å, respectively] further stabilize the structure. Weak inter-molecular C-H?? inter-actions are also present.

The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the attached benzene ring is 3.09?(9)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 77.10?(4)°. The uncoordinated water mol-ecule is linked to nicotinamide ligands by O-H?O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. A weak N-H?? inter-action also occurs.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(N(3))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)], was obtained as the first crystalline product from the reaction of Ni(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O, picolinamide and NaN(3) in aqueous media. After a few days in the mother liquor, crystals of the cis isomer transformed into the trans isomer [Đaković & Popović (2007 ▶). Acta Cryst. C63, m507-m509]. The Ni atom exhibits a distorted octa-hedral environment and contains two azide ions and two planar N,O-chelating picolinamide ligands, all cis related. The dihedral angle between the two chelate rings is 82.43 (7)°. Pairs of mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds into cyclic R(2) (2)(16) dimers, which are further packed into a three-dimensional framework by C(6) and C(8) chains by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, C(9)H(9)N(5), is slightly twisted from planarity, with a maximum deviation of 0.0285?(13)?Å from the pyridine plane for the C atom bearing the amino group. The cyano groups are on different sides of the pyridine plane, with C- and N-atom deviations of 0.072?(3)/0.124?(4) and -0.228?(4)/-0.409?(5)?Å from the pyridine plane. In the crystal, N-H?N and C-H?N hydrogen bonds connect the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running along the c axis.
