Chlorido(pyridine-2-carboximidamide-?N,N)zinc(II) chloride dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title salt, [ZnCl(C(6)H(7)N(3))(2)]Cl·2H(2)O, the pyridine-2-carboximidamide ligands chelate to the Zn(II) atom, which is also coordinated by a Cl atom. The Zn(II) atom shows a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination, with the pyridyl N atoms occupying the axial positions. The cation, anion and water mol-ecules are linked by N-H?Cl, N-H?O, O-H?Cl and O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional structure.

In the cations, each Zn(II) ion adopts a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry, being chelated by two tridentate pht ligands. In the crystal, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are connected via O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(C(6)H(3)FNO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(4)]·2H(2)O, the Zn(II) atom is octa-hedrally coordinated in a ZnO(4)N(2) environment by two 3-fluoro-pyridine-4-carboxyl-ate (3-fpy4-cbx) ligands and four water mol-ecules. The [Zn(3-fpy4-cbx)(2)(H(2)O)(4)] mol-ecules form a three-dimensional network through strong O-H⋯O and weak O-H⋯F hydrogen bonds between 3-fpy4-cbx and water mol-ecules. The crystal used for data collection was a twin, with the twin law corresponding to a 180° rotation about the real-space [001] axis. The major twin fraction refined to 0.795 (1).

Project description:The title compound, [RuCl(C10H14)(C11H10N4)]Cl is an Ru(II) complex in which an η (6) -p-cymene ligand, two N atoms of 3-amino-2-(phenyl-azo)pyridine and one Cl ion form a piano-stool coordination environment around the metal ion. In the crystal structure, N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds play an important role in the formation of the supramolecular zigzag chain along the a-axis direction. Disorder is observed for the isopropyl group with site-occupancy factors refined to 0.78 (5) and 0.22 (5).

Project description:The title compound, {systematic name: (3-carb-oxy-1-ethyl-6-fluoro-7-piperazin-4-ium-1-yl-1H-quinolin-4-yl-idene)oxonium tri-μ(2)-chlorido-bis-[trichloridobismuthate(III)] chloride dihydrate], (C(16)H(20)FN(3)O(3))(2)[Bi(2)Cl(9)]Cl·2H(2)O, is composed of [Bi(2)Cl(9)](3-) anions lying on crystallographic twofold rotation axes, Cl(-) anions also on twofold axes, C(16)H(20)FN(3)O(3) (2+) cations, and water mol-ecules. The Bi(III) coordination polyhedron is a distorted octa-hedron and two such octa-hedra share a triangular face to form the complex anion. There are three short terminal Bi-Cl bonds [2.5471 (6)-2.5781(5 Å] and three longer bridging bonds [2.8599 (5)-2.9984 (6) Å] in each octa-hedron. Anions, cations and water mol-ecules are linked by hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network. There are also π-π stacking inter-actions between quinoline ring systems, with an inter-planar distance of 3.27 (1) Å.

Project description:The crystal structure of [Co2Cl4(C17H18N2)2][CoCl2(C17H18N2)(H2O)] or [Co(L)Cl(μ-Cl)]2[Co(L)(Cl)2(OH2)], where L is the enanti-opure bidentate ligand (-)-5,6-pinenebi-pyridine (C17H18N2), has been determined. Crystals suitable for X-ray structure analysis were obtained by slow evaporation of an ethano-lic solution containing equimolar amounts of L and CoCl2·6H2O. The CoII cations all have a coordination number of five, and in each case the coordination polyhedron is a trigonal bipyramid. The Co-N bonds lengths range from 2.037 (7) to 2.195 (7) Å, and Co-Cl bonds lengths range from 2.284 (2) to 2.509 (2) Å. The asymmetric unit contains two discrete complexes, one dinuclear and the other mononuclear. Between the two mol-ecules, two types of inter-molecular inter-actions have been evidenced: π-π stackings involving the bi-pyridine units, and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between the hydrogen atoms of the aqua ligand coordinating to the mononuclear complex and the non-bridging chlorido ligand coordinating to the dinuclear mol-ecule. These inter-actions lead to a two-dimensional supra-molecular arrangement parallel to the ab plane.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C(12)H(12)N(6), the dihedral angles between the pyridine rings and the central dimethan-imine-hydrazine group are 0.30?(3) and 13.94?(3)°. Two intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds stabilize the planar conformation of one pyridine ring with respect to its hydrazine-residue neighbour, whereas the other pyridine ring and an N-bonded H atom are rotated out of the plane and link the mol-ecules into inter-molecular N-H?N chains propagating in [010].

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C6H7N3O, is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0068 Å) and adopts an E conformation about the C=N double bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of strong N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with R 2 (2)(10) motifs. The dimers are further linked into C(3) chains through O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. There is inter-molecular π-π stacking between adjacent phenanthroline ligands, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.151 (3) Å.

Project description:The title complex, [PtCl(C14H23N5)]Cl·2H2O, is isomorphous with the Pd(II) compound characterized previously [Mendoza, Bernès & Mendoza-Díaz (2006 ▶). Acta Cryst. E62, m2934-m2936]. The angle between pyrazole mean planes in the main ligand is 88.3 (4)°, similar to that observed in the Pd(II) analogue [87.62 (11)°]. This tridentate ligand adopts a conformation approximating a twofold symmetry, allowing its coordination to the metal atom, together with a chloride ligand, in an almost perfect square-planar geometry. A chloride anion and two water mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit form a hydrogen-bonded network connected to the complex mol-ecules in the crystal via the NH amine groups, forming chains along [100].
