The hydrazine N atoms are twisted slightly out of the planes of the tolyl and meth-oxy-benzene rings: the C-C-N-N and N-N-C-C torsion angles are 171.1 (2) and -174.4 (2)°, respectively, for one mol-ecule and -177.4 (2) and -170.6 (2)°, respectively, for the other. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains propagating along the b-axis direction.

Project description:In the title hydrazonodithio-ate, C(21)H(19)N(3)OS(2), the amide group is twisted out of the plane through the S(2)C=N atoms: the C-N-N-C torsion angle is 139.71?(13)°. The pyridine ring forms dihedral angles of 52.96?(8) and 86.46?(8)° with the phenyl rings, and the latter are approximately orthogonal [dihedral angle = 76.42?(9)°]. Supra-molecular chains sustained by N-H?O hydrogen bonds and propagated by glide symmetry along the c axis are found in the crystal structure. The chains are consolidated into a three-dimensional architecture by C-H?O and C-H?N inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C(14)H(13)N(3)O)(C(14)H(12)N(3)O)](CCl(3)COO), the central Cu(II) ion exhibits a distorted octa-hedral geometry with the two ligands coordinating in an meridional format. The N(4)O(2) ligand environment is defined by two benzoyl O atoms, two pyridyl N atoms and imino N atoms. As evidenced by the bond lengths, the two benzohydrazone ligands exist in distinctively different forms, one of them as a regular neutral ligand and the other as an anionic enolate arising from deprotonation. The much longer Cu-O bond and longer Cu-N bond lengths in the neutral benzohydrazone ligand imply weak ligation in comparison with the anionic enolate form. The acute angles of the five-membered rings cause a significant deviation from a regular octa-hedral geometry.

The average Ni-N and Ni-O bond lengths are 2.131 (13) and 2.098 (11) Å, respectively. An intramolecular N-H⋯O inter-action occurs. Relatively weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions between the ligands and the ClO(4) (-) ions result in a chain extending along the b axis.

Project description:Crystals of the title compound, C(15)H(15)N(3)O, were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzohydrazide and 1-(4-amino-phen-yl)ethanone. The mol-ecule assumes an E configuration with the amino-phenyl and benzohydrazide units located on opposite sites of the C=N double bond. In the crystal structure, the benzene rings of the mol-ecule are slightly twisted with respect to the central hydrazide, the dihedral angles being 18.22?(12) and 27.62?(12)°. The crystal structure contains inter-molecular N-H?O and weak C-H?N hydrogen bonding.
