Dinitro-sylbis[tris-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)phosphane]iron chloro-form monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Fe(NO)(2)(C(18)H(12)F(3)P)(2)]·CHCl(3), belongs to the family of metal dinitrosyl compounds with the general formula Fe(NO)(2)(L)(x), referred to collectively as 'dinitrosyl iron compounds' (DNICs). Herein we report the structure of a dinitrosyl iron diphosphane complex, (Fe(NO)(2)L(2), with L = P(C(6)H(4)-p-F)(3). The structure includes one metal complex mol-ecule and one chloro-form solvent mol-ecule. The iron atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated with two phosphane ligands and with two NO groups with Fe-N-O angles of 178.1 (2) and 177.0 (2)°.

Herein we report the structure of a dinitrosyl iron diphosphane complex, [Fe(NO)(2)L(2)], with L = P(C(6)H(4)-p-CH(3))(3). There are two crystallographically independent but chemically equal mol-ecules per asymmetric unit. The iron atom in each mol-ecule is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two phosphane ligands and two NO groups, with Fe-N-O angles in the range 173.84?(15)-179.31?(16)°.

Project description:The title compound, trans-[RhCl(C(18)H(12)Cl(3)P)(2)(CO)]·C(3)H(6)O, contains an Rh(I) atom in a distorted square-planar coordination with a P-Rh-P angle of 175.27?(2)° and Rh-P bond lengths of 2.3127?(4) and 2.3219?(4)?Å. The rhodium complexes link each other through weak inter-molecular contacts between the acetone methyl groups and the carbonyl O atom. Inter-actions between the acetone solvent mol-ecule and the Cl-Rh unit results in a reduced P-Rh-Cl angle of 86.675?(15)°.

Project description:The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(18)H(12)Cl(3)P)(2)]·C(2)H(3)N, packs as monomeric units with a square-planar geometry around the Pt(II) atom. The two tris-(4-chloro-phen-yl)phosphane ligands are coordinated in a cis orientation, with P-Pt-P and Cl-Pt-Cl angles of 99.36?(2) and 88.02?(2)°, respectively. In the crystal, C-H?N inter-actions are observed between the phenyl rings and the acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(NO(3))(C(18)H(12)F(3)P)(3)], the ligating atoms define a distorted tetrahedon with the three tris-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)phosphane ligands in the basal positions and the nitrate ligand in the axial position. The intra-molecular ?-? inter-action [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6113?(11)?Å] between two of the 4-fluoro-phenyl groups is complemented by both C-H?F and C-H?O inter-actions with distances in the range 2.51-2.60?Å, resulting in a tight head-to-tail packing.

Project description:The title compound, C(7)H(7)N·B(C(6)F(5))(3)·C(6)H(14), was obtained by the stoichiometric reaction of 2-vinyl-pyridine and tris-(penta-fluoro-phen-yl)borane in toluene. The formed adduct exhibits a restricted rotation along the B-N bond resulting in an asymmetry, which can be also observed in the (19)F NMR spectra. The B-N distance is equivalent to the distances found for 2-methyl-pyridine and 2-ethyl-pyridine B(C(6)F(5))(3) adducts. For the final refinement, the contributions of disordered solvent mol-ecules were removed from the diffraction data with SQUEEZE in PLATON [van der Sluis & Spek (1990). Acta Cryst.
