ABSTRACT: Both the platininum complex and the solvent mol-ecule of the title compound, [PtBr(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·CHCl(3), are located on a twofold rotation axis. The CH unit and the Cl atoms of the CHCl(3) mol-ecule are disordered over two equally occupied positions. The complex shows a trans square-planar geometry about the Pt atom.

Project description:The title compound, [RuCl2(?(6)-C6H6)(C12H22ClP)]·CHCl3, was prepared by reaction of [RuCl2(?(6)-C6H6)]2 with chloro-dicyclo-hexyl-phosphane in CHCl3 at 323?K under argon. The Ru(II) atom is surrounded by one arene ligand, two Cl atoms and a phosphane ligand in a piano-stool geometry. The phosphane ligand is linked by the P atom, with an Ru-P bond length of 2.3247?(4)?Å. Both cyclo-hexyl rings at the P atom adopt a chair conformation. In the crystal, the Ru(II) complex mol-ecule and the chloro-form solvent mol-ecule are linked by a bifurcated C-H?(Cl,Cl) hydrogen bond. Intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds are also observed.

Project description:The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(18)H(12)Cl(3)P)(2)]·C(2)H(3)N, packs as monomeric units with a square-planar geometry around the Pt(II) atom. The two tris-(4-chloro-phen-yl)phosphane ligands are coordinated in a cis orientation, with P-Pt-P and Cl-Pt-Cl angles of 99.36 (2) and 88.02 (2)°, respectively. In the crystal, C-H⋯N inter-actions are observed between the phenyl rings and the acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(21)H(33)P)(2)]·C(3)H(6)O, crystallizes with an accompanying acetone solvent mol-ecule. The metal atom shows a distorted square-planar coordination environment, with a P-Pt-P angle of 172.41?(3)° as the most prominent feature. Both isopropyl fragments were treated as disordered over two conformations with occupancy ratios of 0.55?(2):0.45?(2) and 0.58?(2):0.42?(2). The solvent mol-ecule was also disordered over two orientations in a 1:1 ratio. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a twin component of 32.4%.

Project description:In the title compound, [AgBr(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·C(2)H(3)N·H(2)O, the coordination of the Ag atom is close to ideal tetra-hedral, with the three Ag-P bond lengths almost equal [2.5441 (10), 2.5523 (9) and 2.5647 (10) ° A] and the Ag-Br bond slightly longer [2.7242 (5) Å]. The coordination tetra-hedron is slightly flattened, the Ag atom is closer to the PPP plane; the P-Ag-P angles are wider than the Br-Ag-P angles. The voids in the crystal structure are filled with ordered acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules. The remaining electron density was inter-preted as a water mol-ecule, disordered over three alternative positions. Neither of the solvent mol-ecules is connected by any directional specific inter-actions with the complex.
