Butane-1,4-diammonium bis(perchlorate).

ABSTRACT: The butane-1,4-diammonium cation of the title compound, C(4)H(14)N(2) (2+)·2ClO(4) (-), lies on a special position of site symmetry 2/m, whereas the perchlorate anion is located on a crystallographic mirror plane. An intricate three-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network exists in the crystal structure with each H atom of the ammonium group exhibiting bifurcated inter-actions to the perchlorate anion. Complex hydrogen-bonded ring and chain motifs are also evident, in particular a 50-membered ring with graph-set notation R(10) (10)(50) is identified.

Project description:The title compound, (C4H14N2)2[Mo2O4F6]·H2O, was obtained by solvothermal reaction at 443?K for 72?h from a mixture of MoO3, HF, 1,4-diamino-butane (dab), water and ethyl-ene glycol. The structure consists of [Mo2O4F6](4-) anionic dimers containing strongly distorted MoO3F3 octa-hedra (with twofold symmetry), diprotonated dab cations and water mol-ecules (twofold symmetry) in the ratio 1:2:1. The cohesion of the three-dimensional structure is ensured through N-H?O, N-H?F and O-H?F inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(4)H(14)N(2) (2+)·2C(6)H(4)NO(2) (-)·H(2)O, consists of half of a doubly protonated tetra-methyl-enediammonium dication, a pyridine-2-carboxyl-ate anion and half of a solvent water mol-ecule; the dication is located on a centre of inversion and a twofold rotation axis passes through the O atom of the water mol-ecule. The carboxyl-ate group of the anion appears to be delocalized on the basis of the C-O bond lengths. In the crystal structure, the components are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O, N-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(4)H(14)N(2))[Cu(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)]·3H(2)O or (bdaH(2))[Cu(pydc)(2)]·3H(2)O (where bda is butane-1,4-diamine and pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid), the Cu(II) atom is coordinated by four O atoms [Cu-O = 2.0557 (16)-2.3194 (16) Å] and two N atoms [Cu-N = 1.9185 (18) and 1.9638 (18) Å] from two chelating rings of the pydc(2-) anions, which act as tridentate ligands. The geometry of the resulting CuN(2)O(4) coordination can be described as distorted octa-hedral. The the two pydc(2-) fragments are almost perpendicular to one another [77.51 (11)°]. To balance the charges, two centrosymmetric protonated butane-1,4-diammonium, (bdaH(2))(2+) cations are present. In the crystal structure, extensive O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds [D⋯A = 2.720 (2)-3.446 (3) Å], ion pairing, C-O⋯π [O⋯π = 3.099 (2) Å] and π-π stacking inter-actions between the pydc(2-) rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.5334 (15) Å] contribute to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the polymeric title compound, {[Ag(C(8)H(10)N(4)S(4))]ClO(4)·1.5H(2)O}(n), the Ag(I) atom has a slightly distorted trigonal-planar coordination geometry provided by three N-atom donors from the thia-diazole rings of three symmetry-related 2,2'-[butane-1,4-diylbis(sulfanedi-yl)]bis-(1,3,4-thia-diazole) ligands. Centrosymmetrically related Ag(I) atoms are bridged by the N-N fragments of rings, forming six-membered dinuclear metallacycles, which are further linked by the alkyl spacers of the thia-diazole ligands into a layer network extending parallel to (0-21). The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds. The O atoms of the perchlorate anion and one water mol-ecule are disordered over two sets of sites with refined occupancy ratios of 0.640?(6):0.360?(6) and 0.663?(11):0.337?(11), respectively.
