Project description:The title compound, C(22)H(14)FN(3), was prepared by a one-pot condensation using malononitrile, an aromatic aldehyde, a methyl ketone and ammonium acetate as reacta-nts under microwave irradiation. The pyridine ring is twisted with respect to the benzene ring and the naphthalene ring system, making dihedral angles of 41.9 (1) and 45.2 (1)°, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected via inter-molecular N-H⋯N and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(22)H(14)FN(3), which differ slightly in the relative orientations of the naphthyl and phenyl groups with respect to the pyridyl ring framework. In one mol-ecule, the naphthyl ring system and the phenyl ring form dihedral of angles 56.50 (2) and 48.23 (3)°, respectively, with the pyridyl ring plane. In the other mol-ecule, the corresponding dihedral angles are 50.01 (2) and 51.1 (3)°, respectively. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds connect the independent mol-ecules into dimers.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C26H18N6O4S, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B). The dihedral angles between the oxadiazole ring and naphthalene ring system are 42.59 (14) and 6.88 (14) Å in mol-ecules A and B, respectively. The dihedral angles between the pyridine and benzene rings in A and B are 65.53 (13 )and 87.67 (13) Å, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules A and B are linked through a pair of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving one -NH2 group H atom and second pair of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the other -NH2 group H atom, forming an -ABAB- ribbon along [100] containing R 2 (2)(8) and R 2 (2)(12) ring motifs. These ribbons are further connected by weak C-H⋯N, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions, resulting in a three-dimensional network. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with refined components 0.906 (1):0.094 (1).

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(14)N(6)O(2), contains four rings. The dihedral angle between the pyridine ring and the pyrazole ring is 1.9 (1)°, i.e. almost coplanar, which gives rise to a conjugated structure. The dihedral angle between the nitro-substituted phenyl ring and the pyridine ring is 76.3 (1)° and that between the pyrazole ring and the non-substituted phenyl ring is 40.5 (1)°. Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(25)H(16)N(4), the pyridine rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 0.92 (3)°, while the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the adjacent pyridine ring is 56.51 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers, forming R(2) (2)(16) ring motifs. π-π contacts between the pyridine ring and the indole ring system and between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.923 (2) and 3.724 (2) Å] may further stabilize the structure. Two weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The title compound, C(21)H(18)N(2)O, crystallized with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. In mol-ecule A, the central pyridine ring forms dihedral angles of 14.55 (13) and 39.14 (12)° with the terminal phenyl and benzene rings, respectively. The latter rings make a dihedral angle of 33.06 (13)° with each other. The corresponding values for mol-ecule B are 26.86 (13), 41.82 (12) and 38.99 (13)°, respectively. In the crystal, the B mol-ecules are linked via a pair of weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers. In addition, C-H⋯π inter-actions and π-π [centroid-centroid distances = 3.5056 (16) and 3.8569 (17) Å] stacking inter-actions are observed.

The crystal is stabilized by π-π stacking inter-actions between the pyridine rings of inversion-related mol-ecules, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.772 (2) Å. In addition, C-H⋯π contacts involving an α-C-H group of the pyridine ring and the nonsubstituted ring of the naphthalene unit are observed, giving rise to a herringbone-type supramolecular architecture of the naphthalene moiety being contained in the molecule.

The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles between the phenyl ring and the pyridine and cyclopentadienyl rings are 51.67 (13) and 12.12 (21)°, respectively.
