Poly[di-?(2)-chlorido-tri-?(2)-terephthalato-tetra-lead(II)].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Pb(4)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(3)Cl(2)](n), consists of a three-dimensional inorganic-organic hybrid framework. The asymmetric unit contains two Pb(2+) cations, one Cl(-) anion and one and a half terephthalate anions, the latter being completed by inversion symmetry. The two Pb(2+) cations are each surrounded by five O atoms and one Cl atom in the form of irregular polyhedra. The cations are linked by ?(2)-O and ?(2)-Cl atoms into binuclear units, which are further extended through Pb-O inter-actions into an undulated inorganic layer parallel to (001). These layers are connected along [001] by the terephthalate groups into a three-dimensional framework.

The organic cation has an inversion center at the mid-point of the ethane C-C bond. In the anion, the Pb(II) atom is coordinated by six I atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The I atoms bridge the Pb(II) atoms into a polymeric chain running along [001]. These inorganic chains are separated by the isolated organic cations.

Project description:The title compound, [PbCl(2)(C(17)H(9)NO(3))](n), was synthesized by the hydro-thermal reaction of PbCl(2) and liriodenine. The lead(II) atom has a distorted octa-hedral environment made up of the O and N atoms of the liriodenine ligand [Pb-O 2.666?(4)?Å, Pb-N 2.587?(5)?Å, O-Pb-N 61.78?(14)°] and four bridging chloro ligands, which link the complex mol-ecules into infinite chains along the a axis. Both crystallographically independent chloro-bridges are asymmetric, so that the Pb atom participates in two short [2.6872?(18) and 2.7952?(18)?Å] and two noticeably longer Pb-Cl bonds [2.9626?(18) and 3.031?(2)?Å].

Tri-?-chlorido-bis-[(?-hexa-methyl-benzene)-ruthenium(II)] tetra-chlorido-ferrate(III).

Project description:The mol-ecular geometry of the complex cation in the title structure, [(?-Cl)(3){Ru(II)(?(6)-C(6)Me(6))}(2)][Fe(III)Cl(4)], compares very well with that reported earlier for the corresponding PF(6) (-) salt [Pandey et al. (1999 ?). J. Organomet. Chem.592, 278-282]. The [FeCl(4)](-) counter ion has a rather regular tetra-hedral geometry with Fe-Cl distances and Cl-Fe-Cl angles in the range 2.1891?(7)-2.2018?(8)?Å and 107.10?(3)-110.56?(3)°, respectively. There are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions in the crystal except for some weak C-H?Cl contacts, which in turn indicates that the crystal packing is determined predominantly by electrostatic inter-actions between the ionic constituents.

Project description:The title Pb(II) coordination polymer, [PbCl(2)(C(13)H(14)N(2))], was prepared by the hydro-thermal reaction of PbCl(2) with 4,4,-trimethyl-enedipyridine in a 1:1 ratio. It exhibits a two-dimensional layered structural motif consisting of PbCl(2) chains and the flexible bridged 4,4'-trimethyl-enedipyridine ligand. The connections result in a cavity of about 4 × 15?Å.

Hybrid organic-inorganic crystal structure of 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridinium di-methyl-ammonium tetra-chlorido-lead(II).

Project description:The title compound, (C2H8N)(C7H11N2)[PbCl4], is a hybrid organic-inorganic material. It crystallizes in the space group C2/c and contains one half of a mol-ecule of lead chloride, 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridinium, and di-methyl-ammonium in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure exhibits chains of lead chloride capped by 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridinium and di-methyl-ammoium by hydrogen bonding. This creates a one-dimensional zipper-like structure down the a axis. The crystal structure is examined and compared to a similar structure containing lead chloride and di-methyl-benzene-1,4-diaminium.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the polymeric title compound, {(C21H19N2)[HgCl3]} n , comprises one-half of the cationic mol-ecule, the other half being generated by application of twofold rotation symmetry, one Hg and two Cl atoms. The Hg(II) atom, lying on a twofold rotation axis, exhibits a distorted triangular coordination environment and is surrounded by three Cl atoms with Hg-Cl distances in the range 2.359?(2)-2.4754?(13)?Å. Two additional longer distances [Hg?Cl = 3.104?(14)?Å] lead to the formation of polymeric [HgCl1/1Cl4/2](-) chains extending along [001]. The crystal packing can be described by cationic layers alternating parallel to (-110) with the anionic chains located between the layers. The packing is consolidated by ?-? stacking inter-actions between the benzene rings of the central benzimidazole entities, with centroid-to-centroid distances of 3.643?(3)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(2)Cl(4)(C(11)H(16)N(4))](n), the Cu atom is coordinated by two N atoms of two 3,3',5,5'-tetra-methyl-4,4'-methyl-enedipyrazole (H(2)mbdpz) ligands, two bridging Cl atoms and one terminal Cl atom, forming a square-pyramidal geometry. The bridging Cl atoms and the bridging H(2)mbdpz ligands connect the Cu atoms to build up an extended one-dimensional chain. The chains are further connected through N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to build up a two-dimensional layer in the (011) plane. An inversion centre lies between every pair of adjacent Cu atoms.

Project description:The title compound, (C21H20OP)(C19H15N4)[CuCl4], was obtained by reacting CuCl2·2H2O with a mixture of one equivalent of acetonyltri-phenyl-phospho-nium chloride and one equivalent of 2,3,5-tri-phenyl-tetra-zolium chloride in aceto-nitrile. In the structure, the Cu centre in the dianion is bonded to four chloride ligands and adopts a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The phospho-nium cation likewise adopts the expected tetra-hedral geometry. The tetra-zolium ring forms dihedral angles of 77.68 (10), 26.85 (11) and 66.48 (10)° with the planes of the benzene rings of the substituent groups. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving both cations and the anion give rise to a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The title compound, (C16H36N)2[MnCl4]·2CH2Cl2, is an ionic organic-inorganic hybride compound consisting of a tetra-butyl-ammonium cation and a tetra-chlorido-manganate(II) anion in a 2:1 stoichiometric ratio. The cation contains a central nitro-gen atom bonded to four n-butyl groups in a tetra-hedral arrangement, while the anion contains a central MnII atom tetra-hedrally coordinated by four chlorido ligands. It co-crystallized with two equivalents of di-chloro-methane solvent, CH2Cl2, to give the following empirical formula: [(C4H9)4N]2[MnCl4]·(CH2Cl2)2. The crystal structure is mainly stabilized by Coulombic inter-actions.
