ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(17)H(21)N(5)O(3), the dihedral angle between the triazine and the phenyl ring is 80.31?(11)°. One of the morpholine rings is disordered over two orientations with site occupancies of 0.762?(10) and 0.238?(10). Both morpholine rings in the mol-ecule adopt chair conformations.

Project description:Two virtually superimposable mol-ecules comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(27)H(27)N(3). The range of dihedral angles between the central 1,3,5-triazine ring and the attached benzene rings is 20.88?(14)-31.36?(14)°, and the shape of each mol-ecule is of a flattened bowl. The crystal packing features weak C-H?? bonds and ?-? inter-actions between triazine and benzene rings [centroid-centroid separations = 3.7696?(17) and 3.7800?(18)?Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular layers in the ac plane. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a minor twin component of 20.7?(3)%.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(10)H(11)N(5)O·C(6)H(10)O(4), consists of a 2,4-diamino-6-(4-meth-oxy-phen-yl)-1,3,5-triazine mol-ecule and one-half mol-ecule of adipic acid which lies about an inversion center. The triazine ring makes a dihedral angle of 12.89?(4)° with the adjacent benzene ring. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, thus generating a centrosymmetric 2 + 1 unit of triazine and adipic acid mol-ecules with R(2) (2)(8) motifs. The triazine mol-ecules are connected to each other by N-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming an R(2) (2)(8) motif and a supra-molecular ribbon along the c axis. The 2 + 1 units and the supra-molecular ribbons are further inter-linked by weak N-H?O, C-H?O and C-H?? inter-actions, resulting in a three-dimensional network.

Weak intra-molecular C-H?N hydrogen bonds link the two rings within the mol-ecule, which exhibits a pseudo-mirror plane if the methyl group is ignored. ?-? Inter-actions between pairs of triazine rings with stacking distances of 3.521?(7)?Å are observed in the crystal structure, generated via crystallographic inversion centers.
