ABSTRACT: In the title dinuclear compound, [Zn(2)(C(6)H(6)N(3)O)(2)(C(6)H(7)N(3)O)(2)](NO(3))(2), the Zn(II) cation is N,N'-chelated by one pyridine-2-carboxamide oximate anion and one pyridine-2-carboxamide oxime mol-ecule, and is further bridged by an oxime O atom from the adjacent pyridine-2-carboxamide oximate anion, forming a distorted trigonal bipyramidal coordination. Two pyridine-2-carboxamide oximate anions bridge two Zn(II) cations to form the centrosymmetric dinuclear mol-ecule. Extensive O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.

The two unique Ni(II) cations are N,N',N'',O-chelated by carbox-imid-amid-ate(2-) and carboximidamidate(1-) anions, forming a distorted four-coordinate planar structure, while the other two Ni(II) atoms are N,N',O,O'-chelated by the same bridging ligands and two pyridine mol-ecules, affording six-coordinated metals in an octa-hedral geometry. The cation is isostructural with the complex crystallized with perchlorate counter-ions in place of nitrate.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(5)N(2)O)Cl(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)], the Cu atom is coordinated by one neutral and one deprotonated pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde oxime (pco) ligand, resulting in the formation of two five-membered CuN(2)C(2) rings. Together with the additional coordinating chloride anion, the coordination polyhedron of copper is best described as a distorted square-pyramid, the distortion parameter being 0.288. The two organic ligands are linked by an intramolecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cd(CH3COO)2(C6H7N3O)2]·2C2H5OH, the Cd(II) atom, which lies on a twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by two monodentate acetate groups and two N,N'-chelating pyridine-2-carboxamide oxime ligands, leading to a distorted octahedral coordination sphere. The mononuclear complex mol-ecules are assembled into chains along the c-axis direction via N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. These chains are further assembled by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the ethanol solvent mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

Project description:The central part of the title centrosymmetric dinuclear complex, [Zn(2)(C(7)H(5)O(2))(4)(C(9)H(12)N(2))(2)], has a paddle-wheel conformation with four benzoate ligands bridging two symmetry-related Zn(II) ions. The distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment around the Zn(II) ion is completed by an N atom from a 4-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)pyridine ligand. The Zn⋯Zn separation of 2.9826 (12) Å does not represent a formal direct metal-metal bond. The Zn(II) ion is displaced by 0.381 (1) Å from the mean plane of the four basal O atoms. Two of the C atoms of the pyrrolidine ring are disordered over two sites with refined occupancies of 0.53 (2) and 0.47 (2).

Project description:In the title coordination compound, {[Zn(C(14)H(14)N(4))(2)](NO(3))(2)·CH(3)OH}(n), the cationic complex forms a looped chain containing 24-membered M(2)L(2) rings. The ligand adopts two distinct conformations that are alternated in subsequent loops. The Zn(II) ion displays a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry being coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis-(imidazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benzene ligands. The nitrate ions and methanol solvent mol-ecules are located between adjacent double-stranded chains and participate in an extensive net of O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The resulting three-dimensional assembly is further stabilized by π-π inter-actions between benzene rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.878 (2) and 3.853 (2) Å].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pd(C(6)H(5)N(2)O)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)]Cl, contains one half of a cationic Pd(II) complex and a Cl(-) anion, with a crystallographic mirror plane parallel to the ac plane passing through the Pd and Cl atoms. In the complex, the Pd(II) ion is four-coordinated in a distorted square-planar environment by four N atoms derived from the two chelating ligands. The hy-droxy H atom lies on the mirror plane and so is equidistant from the O atoms. This indicates that the negative charge is delocalized over the two O atoms. The complex mol-ecules are stacked in columns along the c axis and are connected by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. The structure reported herein represents a new monoclinic polymorph of the previously reported monoclinic (C2/c) form [Torabi et al. (2007 ▶). Z. Kristallogr. New Cryst. Struct. 222, 197-198].

A 4,4'-bipyridine mol-ecule bridges two water-coordinated Cu atoms, each of which is connected to another 4,4'-bipyridine, giving rise to a square-pyramidal coordination geometry for the Cu(II) centers. The dinuclear dications, nitrate anions and uncoord-inated water mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional structure.
