ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(18)H(17)N(5)O(2), the pyrimidine ring makes dihedral angles of 66.09?(12), 71.39?(13) and 56.7?(3)° with two phenyl rings and the nitro group, respectively. The dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings is 44.05?(14)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(7)IN(2), the non-H atoms of the mol-ecule are located on a crystallographic mirror plane; the H atoms of the methyl groups are therefore disordered over two positions of equal occupancy. In the crystal structure, short inter-molecular I?N contacts [3.390?(3)?Å] are found, linking the mol-ecules into zigzag chains. In addition, there are inter-molecular ?-? stacking inter-actions between the pyrimidine rings of adjacent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.5168?(10)?Å], resulting in a two-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(6)H(7)N(2)S)(2)], contains two independent mol-ecules with similar configurations. In each, the Sn(IV) cation is coordinated by two methyl and two 4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine-2-thiol-ate anions in a distorted SnS(2)C(2) tetra-hedral geometry. In the two mol-ecules, the S-Sn-S bond angles are 87.70 (5) and 88.93 (4)°, while the C-Sn-C bond angles are 125.7 (3) and 125.9 (2)°. Weak C-H⋯N hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

One of them is formed by the inter-action of 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine (AMPY) with the carboxyl group of anthranilic acid (AA) through N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, whereas the other is formed through the inter-action of two centrosymmetrically related pyrimidines involving N-H?N hydrogen bonds. These two combined motifs form a heterotetra-mer. The heterotetra-mer sheets are stacked into three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(6)H(9)ClN(4), contains four independent mol-ecules (A, B, C and D). Their main difference is the torsion angles, ranging from 1.6?(5) to 5.9?(5)°, between the methyl group and the pyrimidine plane. A pair of inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules A and C into a twisted dimer with a dihedral angle of 32.9?(1)° between the two pyrimidine rings, creating an R(2) (2)(8) motif. In the packing, each two mol-ecules of B, C and D form centrosymmetric dimers through two inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds, locally creating R(2) (2)(8) motifs. The dimers of C and D are alternately bridged by A into an infinite zigzag strip, locally creating two different R(2) (2)(8) motifs with dihedral angles of 32.9?(1) and 63.4?(1)° between the pyrimidine rings. Finally, these strips together with the dimers of B associate into a complicated three-dimensional framework.

The central Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two different N atoms in the aromatic rings of the ligands, with an N-Ag-N angle of 173.9?(2)°. The crystal structure is composed of two complexed cations and stabilized by an inter-molecular N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen-bond network and there is ?-? stacking of the aromatic rings [inter-planar distance 3.651?(10)?Å].

Project description:Colourless crystals of the title mixed ligand complex, [Ag(C(5)H(7)N(3))(C(6)H(9)N(3))]ClO(4), were obtained from a solution of 2-amino-4-methyl-pyrimidine, 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrim-idine and silver perchlorate in water and methanol. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions of the aromatic rings of the two ligands [inter-planar distance = 3.652?(10)?Å]. The Ag(I) atom shows a linear coordination [N-Ag-N = 174.6?(1)°].
