Project description:The title dinuclear complex, [Cu(2)Br(2)(C(12)H(14)N(4)S(2))(2)], is located about an inversion center. The Cu(I) ion is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two bridging Br atoms in addition to an N and an S atom from the 2-[(4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidin-2-yl)disulfan-yl]-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine ligand. In the crystal, ?-? stacking inter-actions are observed with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.590?(2)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(7)IN(2), the non-H atoms of the mol-ecule are located on a crystallographic mirror plane; the H atoms of the methyl groups are therefore disordered over two positions of equal occupancy. In the crystal structure, short inter-molecular I?N contacts [3.390?(3)?Å] are found, linking the mol-ecules into zigzag chains. In addition, there are inter-molecular ?-? stacking inter-actions between the pyrimidine rings of adjacent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.5168?(10)?Å], resulting in a two-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

In the pyrimidine mol-ecule, the imidazole ring is twisted with respect to the pyrimidine ring at a dihedral angle of 25.73?(7)°. In the crystal, O-H?N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules to form supra-molecular chains. ?-? stacking is also observed in the crystal, the centroid-centroid distance between parallel imdazole rings being 3.5543?(16)?Å.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(13)H(13)N(5). In each mol-ecule, an amino N atom is connected to a benzimidazole fused-ring system and a pyrimidine ring [these are aligned at 1.3 (1)° in one independent mol-ecule and at 5.4 (1)° in the other]. The amino N atom of the fused ring forms an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond to a pyrimidine N atom in each mol-ecule. The amino N atom connecting the two ring systems inter-acts with the other N atom of the pyrimidine ring of an adjacent mol-ecule, generating centrosymmetric hydrogen-bonded dimers.

Project description:In the title salt, C6H12N3 (+)·C7H3N2O7 (-), the imidazole ring is planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.0013 (14) Å for the N attached to the propanaminium group. In the anion, a single intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is observed. The mean planes of the nitro groups in the anion are twisted from the benzene ring mean plane making dihedral angles of 24.7 (9) and 3.9 (6)°. In the crystal, the ammonium H atoms form N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, resulting in an infinite chain along [111]. In addition to the classical hydrogen bonds, weak C-H⋯O and π-π [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7124 (9) Å] inter-actions are also observed, which lead to the formation a three-dimensional supramolecular structure that links the chains into layers along the bc plane.
